Taking over a system? For what purpose? Why?
Well, could be one of several reasons, one being the aligning of Evolution changing to that of Lawful Evil? or are they pirates?
Not "Mercenaries" for sure, its difficult to work out what the plan is for Evolution.
The emergence of Evolution as a pirate corporation would be a significant event, as many Evolution have the ability to travel through Empire space, which BioMass and their friends do not, hence allowing them to strike at any point in the known galaxy. I dont think they will become pirates, as their member count would have fallen a little if that was the case, but it seems they are becoming neutral.
However, one can never be neutral, holding a system is not being neutral, not helping someone is not being neutral, if a pirate is holding a system and no one helps, the people who dont help are supporting the pirate by not helping. Neutrality is something unattainable in such a game as this.
I am not sure what Evolution are going but I am sure I'm staying as far away from them as possible, this is a strange event for sure.
I advise caution to those travelling in the southern area of the Genesis region until this issue is sorted, any corporation/person holding a system(s) should be delt with caution, none moreso that Evolution.

I have said it before and I will say it again. All alliances who stake claim to a system and enforce apolicy of attacking all non-alliance pilots in "there space" are worse than pirates. Pirates have the decency to be honest to there trade we accept the responsibility of our actions thus making us targets for the rest of eve. We however do not hide behind an foney mask of respectability.

Err, it's only one system, of no particular value (as far as I know) and not a choke point en route anywhere special.
So let them have it, although you have to wonder why they're so beligerent to harmless noobs passing through.
Unless of course there _is_ something of value there...

That's not a very satisfactory arrangement. We have corp hangars there, we might need to get stuff from time to time.

Let's see....Evol leave the FA and sojourn outward. They find a system or two, decide paranoia is the name of the game and strong-arm the locals (who've been there peacefully for some time now) and people are supposed to respond joyfully and just openly accept being forced out at gun point?

Anyways, Evolution seem a very well run corp, my point was more to the way they asked the guy to leave the system.
I didnt think it was handled very well.
Iv sat next to a evolution ship in Jan, and many have jumped into jumpins which we are holding, iv never even concidered them anything other than the good guys.
Anyone whom attacks biomass ships is good in my eyes.

Dunno. I personally have to admit that the smartest policy for security continues to be "don't allow anyone but your friends in local". It's not very nice, but it is smart.
Not a defense or anything, Evo I'm sure doesn't give a crap about anyone's opinion about what they are doing. Only saying it's a reasonable move in terms of security, and most PvP corps and alliances do it when in a dangerous area or during a war.

I have already said this once guys, but I'll say it again.
Everyone has choices.
Evolution doesn't sit at the entry points of aring and kill everyone.
When a new person comes into local, we tell them to move on, for we are there for the time being, and we don't want company. We say it nicely, or we say it forcefully, or myself or deathwing says it with gusto, doesn't matter. There is no perfect way to tell someone to leave a system, that would keep the pussies from coming here and whining.
Now, you can choose to ignore, and be killed the next time we see you there, or you can choose not to ignore, and move on, come back at a later date.
To be perfectly honest, it's probly not going to get you killed just passing through several times, or picking up stuff from your hanger and leaving.
But, when by chance I decide to take a few hours and camp the jump in point with a .6 second lock time and scramblers/web's, if you have been warned to leave before, I will destroy your ship.
If we are pirates, then we are a new breed.
We are the kind that warn you before coming after you, and we are the kind that doesn't ask you for money or goods. |

heheheh lets change the subject, and no I wasn't podded but yes I did lose my scorp nuff said :) it was insured. and yes it was funny really because when we was fighting venal, I sat at a station for 13hrs then I go afk for 1 min to set the house alarm with like 11 battleships round me ( friendly ), I come back and Iam dead :)
oh and also, my kills far out way my losses :) like about 30 fold :)

I don't know what Evolution's plans are, but somehow, I don't think you pirates would want to be in competition with them. Since they have always been about controlling strategically important systems, they'd have little problem claiming their "turf" and expelling all other pirates from the area...

We've warned people well in advance before we went there, we warn people while we are there. Why people don't understand this is a mystery of modern science. Actually they have been in FD-MLJ. But I think they got bored and left, as they never truly shut down our (TLBC/c0w) ôinsuranceö business. There were moments where we were outnumbered and force to disengage and put off our ops. But that was for one or two systems only. Our piracy reaches over multiple regions.
ItÆs hard to shut down a pirate business because it does not operate on the same level as a ôlegitö corporation. We donÆt need to hold one system to conduct business. In fact despite what people think pirates are a lot more mobile then you think.

I could not understand why a corp like EVOL would use such language while mining in a system, especially a system like Aring. Makes you also wonder why a corp from FA (i think they are not there anymore) would come to a 0.3 security to mine.

I would just like to point out that Buddy Love01 has nothing to do with the Ministry of Love. He is not in our corporation, nor will he ever be. He is an imposter who is for some reason out to cause trouble for us. We have no problem with Evolution and will not be entering Aring any time soon.

I heard that Evolution are made up of GM's and Polaris... Is that true?
If so, I also heard that Evo are holding a certain system because theres something going down when the patch comes around which will give them a major advantage in the game.
I know your not gonna say that its true and admit it even if it is true, simply because, if it is true, then thats just way past cheating and you will get PWNED! not to mention Eve getting ganked by every gaming site, including mine.
Im not gonna tell you the source of my info, but if this is all bullsh1t, I appologise in advance.

I think they have a case of over mining syndrome... So they see anyone near and they need an excuse to stop mining and go kill them. I think they have been making a lot of money, but if they get really annoying and start talking smack to you or they really attack and destroy your ship go and seek revenge... get your rocky ship and go to the belts and destroy their cargo containers... I heard a post of a guy that did that, they got so pist they got to complain to the GM.... Funny story...
