1) Warp in at 0km. Fly towards a station. The NPC's will aggro you. Kill order is: Frigs first, Cruisers second. Then Kill a Battleship.
2) Once you kill a Battleship, the Shadow and them will appear. Let them close in at you (20-30km or so) and warp out (unless you want to risk it)
3) Warp into the mission at 50km (or max range of weapon systems). Kill order is: Frigs, Cruisers, Battleships.
Tip #1: If you are lagging badly (like I was), it may require several warps just because it takes 1-2 minutes for your modules to activate. Do NOT hesitate to warp out.
Tip #2: This was the first L4 I've ever done.. and did it on the first try, in a new ship, with "good" launcher skills (not uber or anything.. Launcher 5, Heavy Missles 3, all the rest are level 2... inluding Battlecruiser II and flying a Drake, keke

I haven't got the mission yet, but I hear people are complaining about its difficulty and you complete the mission, while lagg, in a half trained BC?

i scouted the mission before i went in with a bs. by the time i finished off the frigs and 1 bs the shadow group spawned so i warped out asap. then i warped in at 100 and popped the shadow frigs, finished the 5-6 bs left, and then took out the cruisers. Pretty easy if played smart, and theres good loot to be found. Good mission imo...

People are complaining about the difficulty because they are popping the battleships first.
I learned ALONG time ago.. Frigs, Cruisers, Battlecruisers, Battleships as the kill orders
