Hulkageddon V is still just a nice rumor. I suspect its just a Goon driven market scare tactic at this point. I am sure they are collecting big on destroyer and covetor BPCs and bumping ice and minerals a bit too.

I mean normally there are all sort of advertisements with CCP even making up a banner for logon a week or more ahead of time.

Most importantly this seems FAKE because there is no offiicial posting of prizes and categories and any other "rules" slim as they are (like trying to check if that first kill was you shooting your alt or corpmate buddy.) And most importantly of the official posting --- no list of official sponsors and donations.

Hulkageddon will probably happen soon...but mostly likely we will have a month of OFFICIAL consistent postings first.

Or maybe not stupid. With GOONs involved its probably gonna be both half-assed and stealth campaign with prizes awarded secretly. Just because the GOONs feel that a totally inside contest would be bizzarely funny especially if there idiots who try to compete but are not part of the INSIDE Goon cliche. The best part of suicide ganking is getting some miner so mad that he threatens RL violence and gets his account banned. We saw a ton of that during our recent ice interdiction.

Does any one have a start time to the event? And are Covetor's a target as well? or just the Exhumer class ships?

I've lost 2 ships in the last two hulkageddons, neither of them were hulks or even barges for that matter just a catalyst and some industial that I was using to haul some crap(the catalyst one was a fun little fight). It stopped being an anti-hulk game a long time ago, it's now more anti-anyone that is caught in a asteroid belt.

Um. You can lose destroyers and haulers any time during the year. I doubt your losses had anything at all to do with Hulkageddon. It is disingenuous to blame those losses on the event.
