So I have a been a bad wittle boy, killing mission runners in their missions. Is it possible to probe down their wrecks so I can salvage from them?

Almost certainly, try probing under "scrap"
Between corps atm, the NPC one is strictly a temporary thing.

Scrap does not return wrecks (does not return anything atm) probably bugged but could be intended.

The directional scanner can be lured into showing wrecks.
I'd be surprised if the probes where unable to do the same.

The cause for this is not yet known, but we do have a possible fix in testing.

Just probe out every single type. See if wrecks turn up...

After having tried the same my self my experience tells me a big fat "No". I suspect it to be a bug. The probes have no problems scanning down Ships and Drones. But Scrap and Structures seems to be missing.

I realise its not a pressing issue but any official word on whether we are sposed to be able to do this or not?

No, even if you sit next to a belt with wrecks in it and drop a probe. Like they say Scrap shows nothing I read on another thread that it used to show Jet cans but stopped working before the patch was deployed on the main server. Hope this will be sorted on Tue.
