Edited by: Charus on 03/12/2006 15:20:48 i using a ATI radeon x1800 gto. i getting some texture errors at some planets, at the most time on planets with rings. they showing black "artefacts" / flickering. on space stations i got em too.
the other problem is the error while i comming out from a stargate, or docking at the stations: white screens. often for a very short time, sometimes (if there are many players) the white screen stays for a longer time.
hoping for bugfixing :)

I have a redeon 6800 pro and I get this exact same thing on ringed planets. The tops of the planets look like black "x"'s under it and flicker. I didnt bug report it as I thougt it was just another symptom of my system running slow since the patch. I never had any issues before the patch though with running EVE or planet textures.

I am running ATI Radeon X850 Pro with the latest drivers and I have the same issue. My card is overclocked to 500/500 but I pulled up no artifacts after a 2 hour long test in ATITool.. so It can't be the fact I overclocked it.
System case/cpu/gpu are all running at below average temperatures.
I'm going to look into this more to see if it has something to do with Z/W Buffer, color depth, and/or refresh rate.

Edited by: RiotRick on 06/12/2006 17:44:29 Same thing here. ATI X700 mobility with the latest omega drivers. I have tried changing all graphic settings in EVE, with no effect.

Got it also. And I have an ATI Radeon 9600XT.
Who's else has got the feeling there's something wrong with EVE's ATI support somehow?

It's not ATI specific. I get the same thing on my NVIDIA 8800GTX.

Edited by: Jimbob McKracken on 15/12/2006 01:00:24 I doubt this will get fixed tbh - the devs are busy beavering away on the replacement graphics engine for Kali due next year - while annoying the issue is hardly a show stopper.
The planet issue is a new bug to kali but ammarrian stations have had rendering bugs ever since I started playing eve over a year ago.
Hopefully I'm wrong and something will get fixed but I think most of the fixes being worked on currently are related to eve stability and performance, and they take priority over small glitches with graphics.

I heard somewhere that it has to do with the settings of the Z-buffer. I'm not near knowledgeable enough to do anything with that information though.
