Edited by: Robert Dobbs on 03/12/2006 17:47:20 Was this the shortest match we've seen?
It's certainly the quickest win i've seen, but I did miss some of the earlier matches.
Edit: For those who didn't watch the match, Jericho r teh win. -

I think we lost to Equisite Malevolance and ASCN pretty fast, but maybe it just seemed that way since I was in it and called primary each time :-/

By the way, you guys better win against ASCN, otherwise the last 3 matches will be pointless.

That was one of the most pleasurable five minutes I've had in the last three years in Eve. Flawless victory against our deadly rivals RAZOR on live EveTV is worth every penny of the loadouts we committed.
Whatever else happens in this tourney I'm very very happy with this result. Extremely proud of my team-mates and everyone from Star Fraction who helped rounding up the isk for the ships and provided their time to help us practise the setups.
What can I say? I'm extremely pleased.

Curse was out of bounds barely 10 seconds after the round started. Doubleclicked on space, set orbit to the Eos and noticed something was going to be awkward when locks maintained but modules wouldn't activate while the ship kept flying ahead.
Got /heal0ed at 62km, with the ship exploding at about 59km (finally reacting and heading back into range). Somewhat baffled that none of the expert commentary has touched on instantly losing the most valuable ship to something outside our control.

Thing is mate, your opponents had the same amount of lag, and they managed to keep their stuff under control. The commentators did mention it. -

Our opponents don't go 5km/s. The same hickup for Atandros would put him 18km at error, where it puts me 48km off. Multiplication is not hard (and noone except Atandros on their team moved much at all).
You might not see it on EvE-TV, but the RZR Curse was going approximately 5km/s (as was pretty much every other member of the team, and Asmodea was within a meter of being heal0ed early into the match as well).

Edited by: Sakura Nihil on 03/12/2006 19:02:34 Lag for me was minimal, but it was bad for the team yesterday .
Chalk it up to the server lagfest, it strikes everyone sometime in this tournament and we just got unlucky this weekend.

They have a point, just how many nanos did y'all have on in total ?

These things happen to be honest. We lost our Curse yesterday to the pilot getting a targeting bug. (was 20 from the enemy and got "can't activate nos" messages (from a 40 targ range) - I find the most nerve-wracking element of the fighting is hoping you don't bug/crash etc. But it does cut both ways.

Good Fight RAZOR.
Weirdness hurt us pretty bad against Exquisite too. Curse was the victim in that case also.
Atandros was unable to Nos his target due to some oddness. His overview reported he was 28km from his selected target but when he activated his Nos, the game reported him at being 33km and out of Nos range. The influx of energy would have given him the opportunity to repair and MWD away from the heavy drones which were hitting him hard. In his estimation, he could have gotten away from the drones and survived a bit longer which might have skewed things back in our favour.
Given all of the variables in any given fight, i'm aware that this call isn't 100% watertight. Point being, variables beyond the team's control do suck mightily and we're sorry to hear you suffered the same.
After our loss yesterday, one of our team pointed out,
"We've had our **** up guys. We can relax a little now."
Sincerely hope that everyone's remaining bouts aren't plagued by similar glitches.
Good luck on the rest of your bouts folks!

Reasoning ? I knew we forgot something. ;)
Naw, in all seriousness it works out nicely leaving the grid/slots open for asstons of damps and nos, while working perfectly with both. Just down to bad planning we didn't manage to refit the Dare and Dominix to have a few damps (got tied up for about 40 minutes trying to buy implants in Jita for Asmo).
That's really why it looked so really, really useless when that Curse was out.
