A jita by-pass would be sweet, especially one that doesn't take you through low-sec (short route). But I think we should preserve Jita. For the love of me I don't see why something more substantial isn't done about the place.
I love going to Jita. You can buy almost anything in Jita (for a price). So why try kill it? Becasue system are not designed for 600+ people occuping them all day 20/7 spamming and doing missions and selling and jumping and killing etc. So why not create a purpose built system called a trade hub. Where people jumping into that system would all go insta dock or something into this big station? Where they can trade etc...? Why don we need an outside system in Jita? Becasue we use it to get out of the place thats why. Thats where the lag is. So kill that.
That way you can have Jita, have much less lag, no issues and everyones happy with their new stuff. Even privateers can still gank you around the surrounding systems if they want, win - win.
In fact, like COnord, the Jita Trade hub could be rp'd as well. Something the empire came together on to create. (Already we are seeing the Minmatar and Amarr patching things up - and Gallente Fed is getting friendlier to the State of late as well...)

Similarily make it so that Concord can charge gate activation fees. That will encourage alot less traffic and more freighters hauling from Jita. But I like Jita....

Thread necro ftw. 
A Jita bypass was sort of introduced between the creation of this thread and your necro action, see these patch notes. A lot more routes used to go through Jita before.
A more 'substantial' bypass than the one there is now. And also it has not solved the problem to a large degree.
And also necromancy? meh... what would you rather do, revive an old thread thats about an important issue or create a new thread given theres already this one (and many more) around.
