Edited by: zurich93 on 03/12/2006 20:01:25 Is it just me or is nos now the deciding factor in these fights? Seeing ships with a full rack of nos just bores the viewers and probibly the fighters to death, you must agree that if nos wasnt allowed it would make the fights alot more enjoyable, fast paced, exciting and most of all not just 2 ships sat there nossing eachother for 15 mins. Or maby not ban the noss altogether just stop ships from having 8 of the things Nope starts here actually :O -----Sig starts here------- <3 Kaemonn eep eep beep heep keep womble... YOU DO NOT POSESS THE POWER TO DISGUINISH MY SIG FROM MY POST MWHAHAHA |

NOS are the dedication factor in this GAME atm. Nos myrmidon makes astarte go down like a tech 1 cruiser even with injector fitted.

The damp and nosfest so far makes me think there need to be a 3rd highslot type, one designated to repairers, nosferatu and transfers. That or just nerf nosferatu with a stacking penalty. I'd rather watch broadsides all day than suction galore.
Possibly decreasing the size of cap booster would also be a good move, allowing nossed down ships time to adjust their approach and turn things around before they're dead in the water.

Thats actually quite a good idea. Turret/Missle/Utility slots.
Although it DOES kind of make ships more predictable and stuff which isn't so great.

Cutting down on the gun slots in favor of utility would produce longer fights though, with a ship possibly fitting 4 guns, 1 nos, 1 neut & 1 remote rep.
But yes, somewhat predictable if combined with the stacking dealio.
I've suggested a self-gratifying highslot before for 'runners', ships not using their highslot for combat but rather evasion and hopefully that's something we'll see in the future to make a world post-nosferatu balance less predictable.
