No! Don't install it! M$ invited Bill Gates in to implement a subroutine into win10 to carry out his plan for population control. He gave up on spiked vaccinations to curve birth rates etc in favor to eliminate the entire human race to the point of 0 by making them wait on tech support. This is why M$ slogan is "Windows 10 will be the last OS upgrade you'll ever need." Because you are all - going - to - diiie!!!

Get started on Linux please, it's the lack of dev support for Linux that's holding me back from making it my main system. A vicious cycle. Hmm? You can buy a Linux distro with a service contract. I have, a Redhat based server deployment in my case. Excellent support from them. Fedora does too, to name another, but I've never used Fedora. Just Redhat, Mandrake/Mandriva and then now Ubuntu (current for some time). Oh Ubuntu Advantage offers a service contract for advanced desktop (home computers), between $100-$150yr depending on the package.
As for CCP, they have been good towards seeing that EVE seems to keep working on a Linux setup. If you have one of those giant hard drives with little on it, you can always dual boot, try that for a year, even if it's non-contract as that's not really important for a desktop deployment. btw you have Linux if you have an android device runs on a modified Linux kernel.

Turn off aero snap for one. Scan system for malware and viruses. Scan for root kits. imo likely candidate is a dirty hidden process executing a task, or a possibility of that anyway. Other possibilities, video drivers, other running processes that just can't cope with winx. Kill all unneeded processes, and eliminate threats.

The only issue is you want a system that will be above minimum specs, as in comparison to a win install, it'll run a little slower/little more demanding. But since they killed the native Linux EVE client, they seem to have made sure it's kept running on wine under Linux. Likely CCP has an in house test system with Linux, especially since they use to dev the client for Linux.
