* Joelyn Donalokos appears on the screen, a look of gentle calm on his face. The wall in the background is adorned with a huge scroll of blue silk, embroidered with his Blue Tiger(tm) logo. *
Greetings everybody.
I am sorry I was unable to attend the press conference due to travel and other time restrictions. Let me state that I am troubled by the big political stir the decision to move this year's tournament to Caldari Prime caused, and I hope this will not overshadow the event itself.
I personally look most forward to the tournament, although it might be my last appearance on stage. In the future, you as pod pilots might see me more often face to face, but as much as I have come to love piloting, this will have to wait until after the show. For now, I take delight in giving you this little private press conference.
Are there any questions from the audience? |

Any contenders that you wish to see at the event? or that might prove difficult given past experiences agaisnt them?
How was your training during this year and have you developed any new "illusions" or projections for this mindclash show?
I'm Looking forward to look the odds this year, and see a great spectacle.

Edited by: Joelyn Donalokos on 05/12/2006 08:13:52 I'm looking forward to meet Askigur Eskold from Freatlidur, he's a great fellow to go party with, although his taste in music is a bit... esoteric.
We came up against each other in last year's quarter final, and he was a tough nut to ***** (open). I heard he sustained a little damage to his front lobe, but last I know he was recovering nicely. All of us have lots to thank modern medicine and cloning technology for.
My training went very well this year. I have always been practicing a variety of meditation techniques as well as classic martial arts, the only innovation this year was to relocate some of my training to... locations that are very special to me.
Unfortunately I can't tell you any specifics about new illusions for tactical and copyright reasons, but let me clarify for all readers that these illusions are in fact only representations, avatars if you wish, of the actual mental battle taking place. The specific designs and animations are created by teams of artists, and are then matched to certain activation patterns in the clashmasters' nervous systems. I can say as much as, I personally will retain the Blue Tiger, but it has a couple of new tricks in store.

I have a question, who are you? ))

I'm of course not an official spokesperson of... the MindClash organizing comittee, I just happen to be a participant who gained some notoriety through my success. This little private interview for the members of the pod pilot community is not officially endorsed, so take my answers to any questions as being my personal opinion, not as guarantees for things to happen one way or the other.
One thing I can promise is, once this year's tournament is over, I intend to start up a pod based gaming community centered around the innovative game MineClash(tm).
Any more questions?

Oh hello people, what are you looking at?
You were thinking you could meet Joelyn Donalokos here? Noooo, wrong mates! I'm just Gallente Citizen 457, can't you tell?
So move on, there's no mind clash champion to see here (cough). The death threats against the champ also didn't cause him to assume a cover identity, oh no. So just keep looking for him, maybe you will catch a glimpse.

((I was talking about how he lacked the EVE logo that stroy characters, like the tetrimon and defiant guys have on the IGS, which lead me to believe he's just a player who grabbed the name. I believe some player is using Rabbit's name as well. Give the OP's new name, it seems my assumptions were correct. ))

In fact I am a player who "grabbed" the name - 11 months ago.
