Its not offensive per se - I find Israeli Defences Forces highly offensive for instance, but I'm not calling for that to be banned.
Its stupid, as RL things should be kept out of games, especially politically sensitive things.
So, its about subjectivity again, non? One man's offence is another man's glee.

Israeli forces brutalise people.
US government created al qaeda, ****** *******, propped up Pinochet, pol pot... thats just as offensive.
Plenty of blood on the hands of the US military forces my friend - wake up and smell the coffee.
I find Israeli/US/UK Military forces just as offensive as a terrorists organisation. They are one and the same. Don't beleive the hype.
I suggest you start reading books and stop watching the news.

Iraq - propped up S.H
Al Qaeda - formerly Mujahadine - backed by US to fight USSR
General Pinochet - butchered 250,000 dissidents. Backed by Thatcher and Reagan
The list goes on.
