I hereby declare the formation of Eve's newest Pirate Corp.
Our message is simple, pay up or meet your clone. Testing opperations are over, bookmarks are made.
The toll will always be 1 million, and payment within 30 seconds of demand, falure to pay will result in podding.
Safe passage will be given to any corp paying the weekly fee of 1 million isk, this will cover all members.
Other services are available on demand, spying and mine opperation diruption being our most popular package.

I remember a question being posted here along the lines of
'If i was to name a corp Hamas would i be aloud to use it or would i be warned?'
A reply from polaris or a dev said that it would be better not to, even tho Hamas means courage.
I think you might want to reconsider your corp name
If this is a wind up haha, but you could offend some people

The name Al Qaeda, is not intended to cause offence to any party, allready we have Corps such as the Israeli Defence Forces, they have been around since beta I believe.

Its not offensive per se - I find Israeli Defences Forces highly offensive for instance, but I'm not calling for that to be banned.
Its stupid, as RL things should be kept out of games, especially politically sensitive things.
So, its about subjectivity again, non? One man's offence is another man's glee.

Isralei denotes a country so I dont find it offensive. No more then Id find US Air Force or Royal Navy offensive as corporation names.
Al Quaida denotes terrorists who blow up people and hide in shadows. They are offensive.

Israeli forces brutalise people.
US government created al qaeda, ****** *******, propped up Pinochet, pol pot... thats just as offensive.
Plenty of blood on the hands of the US military forces my friend - wake up and smell the coffee.
I find Israeli/US/UK Military forces just as offensive as a terrorists organisation. They are one and the same. Don't beleive the hype.
I suggest you start reading books and stop watching the news.

If your gonna name it that, have an alt do it and have your main character's corp. (united States) pump money to your alt corp. Then later have your alt corp. turn on your main corp. So you can make indyloads of money off selling your main corp ships and oil.. I mean ammo going to war with your alt corp. Then forget all about your first war after you made some money and secured pipelines.. I mean jumpgates.

This is what I was getting at when I voiced concern about The Black Hand.
Yes, many do find IDF to be offensive.
To conclude this had the pirate corporation decided to call themselves The Base they'd gotten away with it, now this choice of course was to offend people and should be forefully changed.
As do I believe every earthly political reference in corpnames should, nationalistic references being the obvious, IDF, BSC, RUS, Danecorp, Swedish Wikings and so on and on and on, this is EVE, leave your highly flamable flags at home!
This does not mean I have a bone to pick with any of thse corporations members as such, I just think their choices were poor ones.
In fact I'd like to thank the BSC for their alert when the system got flooded by pirates a while back.
