We have T1 Guns and T2 Guns. There is only 1 difference between them - T2 ammo. It can be used only by T2 guns, very logical!
But ... with the skill for X Size Gun specialization you get 2% damage bonus ONLY for T2 guns. Why? Does the knowledge, for example, in Small Railgun specialization applies only for T2 Small Railguns and T1 Small Railguns are entirely different weapon of whom pilot has no clue how to add those 2% damage? It simply doesn't sound right!

It might not sound right, as lots of things in games don't, but it's the way of rewarding those who are persistent in specialising in one particular area to the best of their ability.
It's frustrating how long it takes to train some things to be able to use them well, but stick with it, it's one of the things that makes eve so damn rewarding in the long-run.

I think he was more into the point of having the extra damage added even to t1 guns IF you have the t2 skills trained, which actually is very logical. but then again it would be logical for the planets and moons to orbit the sun and not sit static as they have been doing in all the solarsystems that currently are not orbiting any galactic center of any kind.
this game is just so fantasticly logical that I want to bring out the e=mc2 stick and smack CCP with it.

Your right, it sounds logical, but it would throw off the balance in the game. T2 guns are supposed to be NOTICEABLY better than their T1 variants, even without t2 ammo. As CCP said when they first introduced t2 ammo: this ammo should NOT be a replacement for normal ammo in all situations. Its specialized ammo, extremely good for some situations but the hinderances will make it bad for others.
If t1 guns were almost as good at t2 guns w/ normal ammo (hence adding in the damage as you propose), AND had less fitting, it simply wouldnt make t2 guns worth it.

If T2 guns were supposed to be "noticeably" better, they'd not have nerfed T2 ammo into uselessness, because that was where the sweetness was. :p
