I bought a maelstrom, tryed all possible setups on it...with almost all large projectile guns, didnt find a good enougth setup.
Granted it would work well in a group, as a gun platform, but a tempest would work better and its cheaper.
But the sleipnir, yes the sleipnir is actually much better and has a higher dps i believe too, i run 720's and have a dmg mod of 18. It also has much better shield res, so if your thinkin of buying a maelstrom buy a sliepnir

but you have to see that t2 is far more expensive for newer players so t1 may be better...

The Maelstrom will be fully insurable whereas the Sleipnir will give out a poor payout would be another small bonus to the Maelstrom.

I'm afraid that bonus just shows the insignificance of it, that turning to insurance payouts is the only plus side to it  Boy it must be bad...

Not to mention the fairly LARGE difference in training times.
You could argue on the Grounds of T2 Large vs Medium...but still it doesn't matter much when it takes you 6 months just to train for the commandship to begin with, IMO

LOL, that reminds me of when Heavy Assualts came out, and how everyone said the Vagabond sucked compared to the Deimos and that it was the worst race to train up for Hac's.
Its the same ship as it was back then pretty much, why is it supposedly better now?
Because people have flown it and messed around with setups for absolutely ages.
