I didn't get to play with the drones post patch(due to times, the reboot, my wife whining I needed to help around the house, etc

It woudl be nice if I could get them to go after the webbing scrambling frigate whiel my artillery shreds cruisers at range. But no they decide the cruiser at 30km is more important. Almost lost a ship in massive attack due to this crap.

almost lost my domi just now due to drones not returning...
Fighting a hyperion 1 v 1 was fine but a hyp/raven/bc... screw that... i decided docking was my best chance and turned everything off for the wait... but 3 of my drones wouldnt return NO MATTER WHAT... sadly with revelations out CCP is fawning over the carebears who whinge about wrecks and wont do a ******* thing to fix drones.
This is why i trained blasters.

Weighing in on the drone issue
if told to attack target..drones orbit but dont shoot
every time i shoot at a new target ..dones engage that target
drones randomly swap target for no reason
They dont work at all!
in lieu of an actuall fix for drones
please put them back how they were before revalations
untill such time as you actually can fix them.

If the drone AI is nonexistent or messed up, a simple HOTFIX could be: remove the drone signature resolution.
Also did the drones not get a hitpoint increase in Revelations...
and has the Dominix not gotten a drone damage rig, unlike the guns and missile boats.
My portrait's all crumbled to a !
Estimate: 2 more years, for CCP, to fix it. |

There is a hotfix for drones addressing changes to them in yesterdays patch coming in today's downtime. It ate our CPU and messed up drones. Let's talk after downtime.

I feel they are even worse then they were.
yesterday I was in my hurricane doing a l3 mission. had killed all big guys and having only arties i relied on drones to kill that last 4 friggies.. it was IMPOSSIBle to make all 5 of them fire at same frigate. When more than 2 were on same targets the others decided to go their own businnes into the other frigies (and the 2 alone could not brake its tank (angel webber). It ook me hellish 17 minutes to kill those 4 friggies.

Wow.. must be a bit more broken for some it seems.. At least for me they would eventually do as commanded and not flip me off everytime..

Ah good news Oveur. These poor little drones are such sad souls they need a bit of tlc from someone. I used to shoot one now and then just to remind them who's the boss, but now even that doesn't work. They still stop work and demand tea-breaks every 5 minutes.
Seriously thou, an enhanced AI interface would go a long way to improving thigs, as Caedices suggested above. Exercising greater control over how you want the drones to work would give you more room to concentrate on what you are doing.
Although where you fit this interface on the screen is a problem. With the way things now are its a bit cramped over on the right-hand side of the display.

It isn't a hostile action directly. But if you assist someone who does something nasty while the drones support him, you get flagged and concordokken all along.
Most fun: Shoot the one supporting you in HiSec and watch Concord remove both ships from space.
It is been like that for a long time - unless someone changed the tech behind the aggro spreading system recently.
