I am the most important player type in EVE not you.
WTF is going on here. I have not heard such whinage since Tech II bpo where introduced.
I have to say with 500k subscriptions and 40k online, a few mission runners wont be missed.
Most players that do missions will adapt or find a new occupation.
Welcome to the dream of EVE. Missions where not suppose to be the end game! Your tutorial is over. You can now progress. Look around your house and maybe this might teach you something. Progress is important in RL also.
Note Jump clones are easy to get. join an Alliance with stations. Seems there are alot. Empire is boring. ------------------------------------- If shares where items the stock market would occur in EVE instantly. Starbase Charters Gallente |

I have heard both.
"This change will kill EVE you are killing PVP."
"This change will kill EVE you are destroying Carebears."
THe answer is that you cant stop it. The devs have two options. Remove scan probes from empire aka warpdistrupor bubbles or tell the carebears this is as it will be. Empire dwellers make up the overwhelming majority of the playerbase (and CCP's revenue).
Most are there because its easy. The empire alts will be moving to thier alliance land. ------------------------------------- If shares where items the stock market would occur in EVE instantly. Starbase Charters Gallente |

Maybe I missed something.
Can you have recourse for the actions of the griefers?
Can you war-dec them?
Maybe you need to have a change of location and get some protection.
Why does there have to be a game mechanic to keep you happy? ------------------------------------- If shares where items the stock market would occur in EVE instantly. Starbase Charters Gallente |

Its good to call me a troll.
I also want you to know I dont care who is doing this to your game play it could be any player.
The point is not what EVE- CCP can do for you but what ingame can you do to stop this!
If a NPC corporation player is doing this then he should be banned.
This goes to NPC corporation players are a disease. IF they have more than soo many SP CCP has to figure something out to get them out of the griefer role. ------------------------------------- If shares where items the stock market would occur in EVE instantly. Starbase Charters Gallente |

If the issue is that you are a month old char, what does the tutorial say to do?
I would be astounded if you wanted to join a player corp that you could not find one.
Ahh soo you really have been in a NPC corporation for 2 years now. Doing solo missions. ------------------------------------- If shares where items the stock market would occur in EVE instantly. Starbase Charters Gallente |

Why do you think wardecs are dumb?
When I was in Empire I lived for the war dec. I knew that I was fighting for something.

OK soo you guys are worried that some griefer is attacking a level 1 mission pilot. I dont think the level 1 pilot would be targeted again. There would be no gain for the griefer with 1k rats.
He probally would look for the Navy raven pilot. Soo it could be a smart griefer or some guy that wants to make some isk.
If there is a level 4 mission agent runner getting a kestrel stealling you BS kills. Yeppers that is sooooo mean. Wait you are in a NPC corporation. ------------------------------------- If shares where items the stock market would occur in EVE instantly. Starbase Charters Gallente |

But this is the thing. The gain for him is a kill on a kill board. They will keep doing it because its easy for them to do, no risk and even though the reward is small from the rats it gives them an ego boost and a feeling of being "the best player in eve" because they have found someone that they can kill. Most of the time they don't choose people that can fight back.
OK how many griefers have gone into level 1 missions? I did not mention killboards. Killboards are cool.
No one is fighting anyone. They are shooting NPC. Why would a griefer shoot a 1k rat when they can kill a 400k rat. ------------------------------------- If shares where items the stock market would occur in EVE instantly. Starbase Charters Gallente |

I bet the issue will be resolved by CCP.
They are probally working it over now.
I hope NPC corporations players is in the subject line. Recourse for actions is the true scheme for EVE. ------------------------------------- If shares where items the stock market would occur in EVE instantly. Starbase Charters Gallente |

When I started playing people where in huge ships. I thought I would never catch up to them.
I think this game is not about skill points. I dont think this game is about PVE. Its about interaction.
When you get ganked you scream in local and someone answers you. You now have more than you started with. Its a MMO and if you think EVE is about ISK your wrong!
Maybe if you where not stuck doing missions 23/7 you might find that the new contract system might actually be worth having being used.

They are changing scan probes:

Interstellar Services Department Posted - 2006.12.07 02:20:00 - [135] - Quote Although the patch notes have not been assembled yet, the Devs have been working on a number of fixes and improvements for Tuesday's Revelations 1.2 patch. Among the items under consideration for the patch are:
*Adjustments to the scan system so that: -griefing mission runners in deadspace complexes is more difficult, and -scan results are easier to interpret, *Adjustments to the escalating path system, *Changes to the wreck icons so non-Salvagers can identify wrecks containing lootable modules, and *Adjustments to the salvage contained in a wreck, thus resulting in better and/or more frequent salvage drops.
Other fixes scheduled for the patch include:
*Log-on/log-off notification window is back where it belongs, *No more white screen flash on session change, *Bugs in various missions being resolved,
and much more.
Patch notes should be available on Friday, with additions made throughout the weekend as more items pass QA. Until I see the changelists, I cannot answer questions such as, "Will <insert issue> be in the patch?"
