I don't know if anyone's taken the time to notice, but I browsed the amrket for the above, and as far as I can tell, there are distinct pairings of each item...one damaged, one intact. So far I have not collect any intact items. I wonder how you get them? The pairs as far as I can see are;

I've put the intact version first in all cases...though with the Impetus and Thruster Console I'm not sure which is which...with the Polymers I'm assuming the Thermoplastic is the intact version, based solely on the fact that I have salvaged Conductive Polymer, but not thermoplastic.

Intact is t2 and drops from elite rats (Dread/Shadow etc) and t2 player ships.
Impetus Console is better than Thrust console IIRC.
Between corps atm, the NPC one is strictly a temporary thing.

just got a few undamaged items from the "Shipyard theft" storyline mission. DT atm so cant list them. had a total of 29 items salvaged from the 2 rooms. Lvl 1 salvage skill :)

You can tell if an salvaged item is a 'damaged' type by the background colour on the icon. If it is an orange explosion it's damaged, if it has a blueish tinge then it is intact. However, looks like the "Ward Console" and "Enhanced Ward Console" have the icons switched.
