Edited by: Snimbo Nanga on 06/12/2006 23:16:41 ...to get the best return? I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of answers would spring up from this one. Having played eve for well over 3 years now, I still have trouble making money and spend a good deal of my time pvping which for me doesn't give great financial rewards.
Cheers all Snimbers

Eve Financial Services (FIN) and EMFI are pretty good investments, in my eyes.

I'd trade tech 2.
Its not enough to be worth investing in FIN, IMO, if that's all you have.

There is no investing in EVE(with the possible exception of BPOs which obviously 150 mill doesnt buy).
You can buy equipment that you will use to make more isk, but the real variable is what you will spend your time doing.
If you like to mine spending isk on a large type C booster is a waste. If you like to run missions buying a Vagabond is a waste.
Wherever you went - here you are.

Theres FIN, or theres various IPOs to keep your eyes open for (ISS sometimes have some good ones). Or maybe you could invest in your own bussiness venture- buy a POS and rent out Labs to people, or moon mine, or anything.
150 million isn't really all that much, though. -----------------------------------------------

Shipbuilding, put out buy orders for Zyd and Mega (cool if you have your own supply) and either mine buy the rest you need, build things like Tech1 BS or BC from BPC's off the contracts system.
Then when you have more ISK buy a BPO and make more ISK :) industry 4TW

yeh I do realise it's not much thanks for reminding me ..the question still stands wether it's a large amount or not, what would be the best way to make isk out of an initial 150 million?

Ahahaha - 150mills? Brilliant - some guy in help channel was having a rant just now about having spent 150mills on a mining implant that don't work! ROFL!
Perhaps he might not wanna invest that kinda money into mining stuff anymore - the miners always get nerfed. --------- NEED A SIG PLEASE. |

Put up some buy orders for regularly used modules for less than they typically sell for. Collect all the modules and bring them to your local trade hub to resell for higher than you bought them.

I've setup a buy-order in my home station buying shuttles at low prices. I also build and sell shuttles fairly cheaply anyways.
If i had some spare iskies kicking around, and all the right skills, i'd setup MASSIVE buy orders for shuttles in as wide an area as i could. Say, 2000 isk per shuttle. Then, after I'd aquire crap loads of cheap shuttles, sell them on again at 8998 ISK each, as most people sell shuttles around 9000, 8998 ISK per shuttle will be the best price for most places if you're lucky.
Hey presto, what cost you 2000 ISK (minus tax), you sold for 8998 ISK (minus tax).
Even after tax, you've more than doubled your money. --------- NEED A SIG PLEASE. |

A good 150 mil isk.... well, I'd invest that into ships/modules and win a lot of fun. Blueprints are a nice idea, copying researched originals and all, manufacturing also.

Buy yourself 100 mil worth of stelth bombers, then go have fun with the rest.
Apparently CCP has a "plan" for SBs so the price should jump, eventually. -----

150 million would get you 150 sausage commando shares. Funding the ongoing enslaught against the bob and xelas hordes. |

I would recommend the "buy shiny battleship then do missions/npcing" course of action. Eve Financial Services shares are all very nice, but you only get a 6% monthly return (at least it's currently 6%) on what you pay them. This is obviously very nice if you have a billion or two to put in, but with 150 mill you would get peanuts.

Hi all,
To Snimbo Nanga: Investing in eve is like humping a bear trap, at some point its going to go wrong.
The question you must ask yourself is how do the investments work?
I could take your money and spend it on T2 fitting and go pvp and pay you of the drops.
I could also take you money and run off.
The lession being, Cheese is good.

Ok, I am going to put this post in so I get to say 'I told you so way back when.....'
Seems the same gorup of people never learn. FIN is just like EIB and every other scam before it.
Before nayseyers jump all over me with 'where is your proof, etc, etc', just realize that I don't care and read the first line of this reply. If you want to lose your iskies, fine, I will just reap in the entertainment aspects once it is dropped....
As for 150m, go get a decent battlecruiser fitted and start hitting mission runners in empire. Ransom their mission specific loot for 75% of the rewards. That is the best investment right now.

You could either invest it in a little project of your own to make more isk down the road or just spend it on getting some nice mods for your ship(s).
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it.

I would have to say that the best way would be to get a Caracal BPO and go into production. Failing that, find several others in the same boat as you and make a new corp of alts and invest in a Drake BPO. PS Hiya stitch, say hi to the others for me :D

I would agree with others, and DO NOT invest in corps... they can easily turn around and scam you with no reprecussions. I'd really invest in yourself, skills, named mods, try and make whatever it is you do more effiecent.
