So with the new patch is a MWD stabber with nos viable?
FIgure 4 autos, 2 nos, and an inertia in the lows.
Might be fun..

Stabber is usually a sheild tank, so unless you are goin to run armor tank, NOS isnt always great - espically as its a "hit and run"... I have found the following the best:
4 x 180mm T2
2 x Missle Launchers
1 x T2 MWD
1 x 20km Warp Scram
1 x T2 Sheild Extender
2 x T2 Gyro
1 x nano fibre (best named)
Obv for PVP, but works for me

I see. Just used to thinking of min ships as armor. I only fly the rifter at the moment, but heard good things bout the stabber.

The new boosted inertia stabilizers are better as you will end up with more speed because of the mass reduction. It's quite effektive on small frigs and I think it will too be effective on minnie cruisers.
NOS are bad, because you run into webber range when using em. Webber is the Speedtanks death.

NOS can work because you can then keep MWD running way longer but still do reasonable damage without tech 2 guns

Thing is, if your gonna speed tank(and I wholely endorse the notion), you need to fight from outside web range, which means no NoS, your best bet would be assault missiles, or just standard launchers. I think youll find as rigs become more common place that its quite feasible to fight with tech2 guns from 15km, perhaps even without barrage. The LSE ought to function as a margin for error, rather than a tank per se.

You can armor tank a stabber. I used fly something like this:
4x 220's 2x NOS
1x AB (I know) Web, Scram
MAR2, GYRO, Damage Control.
Beat a Thorax with it once :)

Not a pretty well fitted thorax, as it can outdamage you by times with t2 small guns, a 1600 Plate and 5 Med T2 Drones with having about 5000 Armor HP.
Plateraxes are hard to kill.

He could do it but t2 is practically a requirement to make this ship good.

unless by a 1600 palted rupture tha keeps itself at 8 km :) and have more capacitor to repair.. .... :)

A stabber with t2 guns and barrage can easily kill a thorax, just stay out of it's range and start by killing off the drones.

Flame away? OK, for a start, just incase you didn't know, you could grab an E50 NOS or a diminishing NOS and keep your range easily, so if you "wholely" endorse the notion then this would be viable and could work as a decent setup.
