Force Recon ships are supposed to be able to use cloaking devicesANDcyno generators.
There is a bug that prevents a cloak from working when a cyno generator is fitted.
So - why would anyone fly a falcon?

The funny thing is, I'm now able to activate modules like Hardeners or Sensor Boosters, then cloak, and the modules stay active.

How many times do the Dev's have to state it
There is NO EASY FIX to this problem it would need a whole code re-write to change the modules.
So basicly you will be waiting a good while. (possibly Kali 3 or beyound I would of thought)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the problem is that cyno generators use the same code as cloaking devices, so you can't fit one of each because you can't fit more than one cloaking device. So just allow for more than one cloaking device to be fitted. There's your easy fix.
No one would fit more than one cloaking device or cyno generator anyway. I don't know if it's that simple, but it could be. Maybe CCP should let me see the source code?

Seems reasonable.Imagine the penalties for two cloaks, and the cpu needed. I dont see why they need to limit it.

Wouldn't the Recon ship need to be able to move far enough away from the cyno field in order to cloak? If not, wouldn't someone just be able to warp to and approach the cyno field and cause a decloak?

Because the Rook can not use the Covert Ops Cloak II to warp while cloaked.

It isn't a problem of being able to activate both modules at once, as you are invulnerable to all but smartbombs while generating a cyno field anyhow. The problem is that if you have both fitted, the cloak will not activate IIRC.

I already posted about this problem, and so did many others but they just never fix it. I personaly dont care that it takes them time to rewrite the damn code. It is broken so fix what is broken before adding new stuff to the game, and then the new stuff is broken and they never fix it. Recons have been for a long time, and that time should have been suficient enoff to fix this problem.
I want to be able to fly in recon in klock and then open the filds for the capital ships!!!!!!!!!! It is that simple!!!!!!!!!
As for being able to fit only one clok, there is a possible problem if you have two kloks. One, you unklok, shoot and klok with sekond one, while the timeing on the first one would not permit you to klok that fast againe.
However the codes must be fixed, to much time has passed and the problem has not been adressed.

Not true anymore. Since the last bug fix to cyno field generation, where they made it impossible to warp, dock, jump, or move while a cyno generator is active, cyno-generating ships are no longer invulnerable...and worse yet, now can do nothing about it but sit there and be shot at until the cyno field drops.
I had a ship targeted, shot at, and destroyed while generating one right after the fix went in. I really don't think that it's intentional, but the fix for one bug probably introduced another one.
However, if this is intentional, I think that cyno fields should no longer show up on the system-wide overview and should only be able to be found via scanning. As it stands now, cyno ships are an automatic 'I lose' button.

Or a great way to attract flies to your pos of doom.
The change is intentional, people were abusing the invulnerebility in many ways imagineble

Leaving behind for a moment the dubious notion that you can still abuse invulnerability when you can no longer do anything of note with a cyno generator active...
...if as I said the loss of invulnerability was intentional (and no patch note said that it was part of the bug fix) then they need to take cyno fields off of the system-wide overview and have it require some kind of effort beyond 'right click, warp to' to track the field down. Past abuse doesn't require any sort of retribution...it just requires a fix, which they did.

Not like it's going to matter, none in their right mind would use a recon ship to make cynos. Just remove the bonus instead, much easier fix. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

they should just let recons drop cyno fields like interdictors drop warp bubbles! but every other ship has to do them as normal , then the recon could just drop a cyno using a special launcher then warp out once the cap ship(s) have jumped in.

I know everyone (including myself) loves to whine about this topic. I also am aware that CCP has a ton of work on their hands and perhaps this isn't the highest priority. However, there's a "known issues" page for a reason - it lets us know you're AWARE of the issue and will fix it SOMETIME. As I've never actually seen official CCP response to any topic regarding this bug, it really makes me feel like force recon pilots are simply being ignored and/or asked to throw away the training they've done for their ships.
