You're a whiner. In about the space of one hour I've got about 20 components, sure, not extremely profitable, but who cares if rigs are 20M or 2000M, the salvagers will make about the same isk.

oo 20parts you say .. would this be the 20 x 90k Parts I can just buy from market.. perhaps they are part of the 90 x 3 parts to make a Tech I rig you say ?
Perhaps il go read what missions drop what loot from the forums eh.. & hope I get as lucky as you .. or... how about il just go rat in low sec till the patch next week.

This was in 0.0, against belt rats, not missions. Missions are already considered too profitable and thus have a curtailed drop rate.

repeat after me, skill level and number of salvage mods affects speed not whether or not there is something salvageable.
It makes you have you failed to find anything appear less.

Edited by: Roddic on 08/12/2006 05:47:33 i tend to agree, if the wreck wont have loot or salvage init it shouldn't form. if it has loot it should be white, and then if it has no salvage it should dissapate. if it has salvage but no loot it should be grey. and if its a mission criticle wreck it should be blue, and only visable to the guy doing the mission.
as it is. it appears to calculate the potential of the wreck as you are interacting with it. it would flow better if it calculated potential at destruction of ship. there would also be less items filling up space.
"can you ever fill space? i dont think you can, you can put something in it, but it will never be full" Roddic

I just ran the numbers, and at current messed up market prices, the rigs would go for about 100-200m a piece depending on what components they have in them.
Chalk that up to low supply thanks in part to opportunity costs and not enough people having skills (before the patch), but look at it this way - if you're a hardcore salvager, you can make a LOT of isk if CCP changes the drop rates.
