Signed.
I'd like this skill released so much I wouldn't care if it was a rank 20.

I'd love to see a shorter jump period... I am all for no delay! Need a jump clone? Tired of jumping 30 jumps to hang out with friends? Try our new Jump Clone Service! |

Originally by: Voltron So I've posted this idea 97 times in corp chat, and now waiting for the server to start up I have decided to post it in the hopes of support and flameage. If someone else has posted a similar idea I apologize, point me in the direction of that thread so I can post love and support.
The idea is a skill related to the amount of time between jump clone useage, currently that time is 24 hours. I propose that ccp create and introduce a skill that would reduce that time.
Bear in mind I say REDUCE and not ELIMINATE
I was thinking a reduction of 4 hours per level would be nice, that way at level 5 people would still have to wait 4 hours between using jump clones. That would indeed be a powerful skill to have, but I personally don't think it would be overpowered.
If you think the idea is stupid or perhaps 4 hours is to much and 2 hours is better plz post your input.
Volt
I have the exact same idea every time I go to use my jump clones! In fact, the 4 hour value is the exact same figure I thought was appropriate too
This skill should definately be introduced. Thank you for taking the time to post it

Originally by: Ford Chicago One of the things I *like* about the mandatory 24 hours, is that it prevents you from jumping to a +5 clone every night before you log off and then back to your pvp char the next day.
I assume this is only because you don't have +5 implants
Seriously though, implants can have a significant impact on ship stats/setup... what if you could only change your ship every 24 hours?! That would suck right? 4 hours would allow you to change implants a few times over the weekend instead of being stuck with a particular implant setup for most of a weekend.
And 4 hours is still a fair length of time: it's a *long* gaming session for me and a lot of other players. 12 hours may as well be 24 hours for those of us who have jobs
Also, I really fail to see how a 4 hour jump timer would "break" the game. I had a read of the "humourous" rant that one of you linked and can't say I was impressed: though mildy amusing, it really has little relation to what I see suggested here.
Yes players can jump about a bit more to stop them getting bored in a camped station and logging off (oh the horror of letting players with limited time actually play the game! ), but realistically it will only be a jump or two per gaming session maybe a couple of times per week for those players that use them, perhaps? Hardly the end of the universe or Eve as we know it!
Haulers still have to do their hauling, pirates can still do their ganking, etc.. but I could choose my implants at the start of a gaming session depending on how I feel like playing, and hopefully jump back into my +5 clone at the end of it
Finally, with motherships/titans on the rise, jump clones have a lot of potential, but the 24-hour timer just doesn't justify using a slot for a clone vat; with jump timers down to potentially 4 hours, suddenly they actually become useful!
This is a very good idea to a lot of players for a lot of reasons, and it won't "break" Eve.

/signed. Even if they just reduced it from 24 hours to 20 hours would be nice. Since I'm usually on at around the same time, I'd be able to use my jump clones each day, rather than every other day.
