And, actually, I probably wouldn't be able to. Which brings me to the point:
Has anyone noticed or commented on the fact that titans are more difficult to scan for that cruisers?
For example:
Erebus Sig radius: 1,450m Sensor str: 200 pts Signal size = 7.25
Vexor Sig radius: 150m Sensor str: 14 pts Signal size = 10.71
I could go on. Frigs are still harder, but this amused me. The sig radius on the titans seems to be the most obvious thing to fix, as it's wildly out of proportion with the size of the model. The sensor strength is also completely arbitrary, since titans are immune to ECM.

Where are you pulling this "signal size" number from? Scan probes scan based on the sensor str so the 200 point Erebus is going to stick out like a sore thumb. A deep space observatory can probably get a 0m lock on it.

"Signal Size" is an attribute invented by me :) but the op is correct the game uses signature radius/sensor strength of the target ship, high sensor strength means it's hard to find (did you ever read the blog by tomb where he said recon ships would be hard to scan for?).
This is also why in the last patch they increased the sensor strength of drones. Pre patch they had such low sensor strength they ended up 2-3 times larger than battleships.
As for freighters they have 0 sensor strength which should mean they are always found (unlimited signal size) but in practice means they are never found (0 signal size). ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

if you don't want to be found, fit a lot of eccms. and btw bob said they were "constantly probing" or something like that, which means that they didn't found it by their FIRST scan. Because Observator (only probe that can find deep safes) has only 1 sig strength, you really have to scan alot to find a titan. And even if it fitted eccms which were active, there was a chance that first scan will reveal the titan. which is why chance based system stinks bad.

Doesn't make sense at all - you do realize that PROBES now have sensor strength, right? That longer range probes have smaller sensor strength (resulting in greater inaccuracy)?
