Nice Signature Drac. Is that the wreck of an 'un-manned' Titan that was unable to fight back? Or should I STFU like one member of BoB told the gang on vent during the fraps video .
Sorry, I know this was off topic etc. but I just couldn't resist.

Edited by: Morgain dVher on 14/12/2006 18:40:49 I'd like to applaud The Privateers for bringing to Eve, at least as much as is possible given game mechanics, the concept of asymetrical warfare. I only wish it were possible for them not to have to show their "uniforms", i.e., their Corp and Alliance, so that it could be truly guerilla warfare. I also hope that they continue to have the resources to keep the War Decs up.
It is thinking like this that may, I hope, send blob warfare the way of lining side by side up in red coats and marching forward with fixed bayonets.
My hat's off to you for your genius.
And for those of you who keep saying "come out and fight, you wimps." I think you need to learn a little about this type of fighting. There is a great book on the subject called "The Guerilla in History." I'd read it along with a slightly older book by a gentleman named Sun Tzu called "The Art of War."
Don't know that I need to say, but these views are my own and not necessarily my corp's, the name of which is The Rat Pack, since it doesn show at left.

Personally I think your argument about targeting industrial ships purely to 'inconvenience' the alliances is a very poor excuse for getting easy kills.
What baffles me is why you created an Alliance? An Anti-Alliance alliance. Are you not in breach of everything you are fighting against? If you think all alliances should get out of empire and go back to the 0.0 from where they came, then why don't you do the same? Oh what's that you say? You don't have any 0.0? So are you trying to claim empire for yourselves? Can't you carve out your own area of 0.0? Of course not, that would involve fighting ships that can shoot back!
BTW, your killboard sucks. There are at least three ship losses incurred by your pilots that have not been posted on your killboard by those pilots. I find it sad when a corporation/alliance can only post their wins on the killboard. I hope CCP do launch a centralised automated killboard that lists every kill. Then the whole EVE universe will see just how pathetic you really are.
All the answers to these questions have been answerd in this thread already - if you will take the time out of your busy life to post this tripe please take the time to search for the answers yourself.
Just to re itterate for the 5th time in this thread. We are an alliance for the unlimted War Decs it provides, we are a group of individuals not and indvidual corp. We have no rules about posting kills losses or tactics to be used. I will take the hauler kill over the BS every time - just so I dont have to mine and dock if the ods are stacked against me.
It is high sec priacy - its bloody ovbisous that it is.. PRIVATEER? look it up.
Maybe if I take the time, use pictures and small words you might -after months - maybe just get it... but probably not - and I'm too busy shooting up War Targets to give a ****.

I speak for myself at the moment:-
To all the haters :
u may get all bitter about the privateers and claim we are not organised etc or die when u come to fight in HUGE blobs
or claim we are ineffective and never around but the killboards are starting to show that even when you win a battle, or gang up with old enemies against us, the threat will always be there for you when you dont want it.

I though it was unmanned ASCN Titans who were used to fighting outnumbered? I have a degree of respect for BOB for in general staying in 0.0 where they belong. Rest assured If you feel the need to come shopping in your hauler, pls stop by so I can relieve you of your heavy burden and send your clone the quick route back to BoB HQ.

Is this a Privateer alt? I ask this as blowhard, blinkered, evil, Alliance ranting like this can only help the Privateers recruitment drive. Its total lack of comprehension of the concept of the Privateers is astounding.
A look at our killboard, flawed as ALL killboards are will show you our members are free to attack what they want, as they have shown today destroying HACS, battleships, command ships, cov ops (sneaky bstrds) as well as the more common craft with "guns to shoot back with".
Also many of our members have run like hell from any hard fights and ganked haulers - stealing their loot and selling it for personal profit.
This is one of the defining characteristics of the Privateer corp and alliance. There is no rank. No sweaty man sat at his keyboard in his y-fronts, with a stupid title ordering you about, making decisions,, or threatening you, or RAIDING YOUR HARD EARNED ISK WITH A TAX RATE (of which privateers is set at 0% btw). There are also no restrictions on how you play - you may do what you wish as long as it does not interfere with another Privateers enjoyment of the game. This means some people like my esteemed collegue BC Hastings dont kill haulers:
Quote:
"to get easy kills. I don't do it to inconvenience alliances. I do it for the iskies, plain and simple."
Others join as they have busy lives and want to log on for some quick PVP without worrying about corp + alliance politics. Others like to pod noobs. Others are spys for one alliance and they get to like killing the other alliance guys so stay. Our founder was a estabilished VERY RICH player who had a vision of trying something a bit different. Many are alts of rich players. I suspect we have a DEV amongst our ranks...... (wink)
Where as I kill haulers to hack hack hack at the alliance soft underbelly's in empire, fighting the small mans fight against city hall, pushing back injustice, and trying to make empire as unsafe for alliances, as 0.0 is for the little corp!
The iskies come in handy though, of which i am personally 390 million isk up since starting the corp. And thats including all of my many ship losses :) I take this isk regretfully of course. *ahem*
As for the criticism about an anti-alliance forming an alliance itself, it was a decision PURELY taken to allow more war-decs as being in a corp limits you to 3 max. This allowed to many Alliances to brazenly float around space in front of our very eyes. I think of our alliance more as an anti-alliance-alliance, or perhaps a giant corp umbrella. It also alows other likemined corps to come join the fight without major administrative hassel, keeping their offices, hangars, POS and whatever else.

I've said it before, I'm not a big fan of screwing other players out of their hard-earned ISK. I'm just not the pirate type, I suppose.
But... as I sit here nursing my Morgan neat at oh-seven local, I have to say that I'm actually inspired by this effort.
Privateering has a long and storied history, but somehow that sort of spirit never made it into eve because so-called pirates and related wannabes would rather sit clicking refresh on the escrow/trade screens waiting for the latest person to mis-click the accept button, or random-spam invites to warring gangs hoping someone would hit <ENTER> in chat at just the right time, or forget how many zeroes s/he typed into a trade window and whether or not it's 7 or 9 zeroes for a billion. (Pro-tip: Way to recall this is that "7 of 9" had a nice rack, and they look a bit like the Ohs if you stretch your imagination as much as she stretched her uniform. And since 9 looks like the nipplar regions, or at least they look like them more than a 7 would, you can always recall that 9 zeroes in a billion is greater than the 7 zeroes in a million. Or ten million or whatever. Anyway, the point is that 7 of 9 had some nice knockers.
Have fun Privateers. Sock it to 'em. Whoever 'em is.

I must say I can't really get my head around all of you whining about Privateers only going for targets who can't shoot back. Combat isn't about showing your enemy how incredibly brave you are. It is about hurting your enemy as much as possible while taking as few losses as possible. If war was supposed to be fair ****** would've had to march into Poland with horses and swords to even the odds (which in this particular case would've been great). The point is, if war was fair no one would ever win!
Attacking haulers in their "safezone" is a very strategic move and tbh I'm very surprised that our dear 0.0 alliances haven't used this tactic more. This would hurt alliance econmics quite bad since production is a very important aspect for most 0.0 based alliances. Sure! They would make a separate alt corp and keep going, but it would still create some disturbance in their normal activity.
Keep it up privateers, you may be making the lives hard for alot of people but you're making it good for yourselves. And in combat, that's the only thing that matters! ----------------------------------------------

Firstly thank you for the flow of positive posts coming in supporting the Privateers in their righteous quest. Particulary from the "Rat Pack", who have been generous in their praise and insightfull in their comments.
Also kudos to the alliance members, evil as they are, who are showing some grasp of what we are about. If, perchance, you one day have a moment of clarity, and see what pain and suffering alliances are causing in the eve universe, we will welcome you into the privateers, and you may seek some absolution in the penance of ganking haulers and selling their cargos for HUGE ISK PROFIT of which i am personally 405 million isk up
Also may I take this chance to publicly welcome the 6 corps who have joined our newly born alliance in the short time since it has started. It is great to have you with us, and your presence has been felt deeply in the structures, and wallets of the alliances.
The Space Pervert and Forum Warriors United, the newest to join us. Have shown how a small, but well organised group of pvpers can thrive in the target rich, 8 war scenario the Privateer alliance is in. They have delt out a billion isk of damage in their first 24hours killing; Hyperion, Ferox's, Absolution, Ishtar, Armageddon, and a host of lesser craft, purloining their loot, crushing the pods of their pilots and sending them back to their clones, with a headache but more importantly in my opinion, perhaps making them think a little about morals, karma, and leaving their alliance to pursue a better life.
In answer to the earlier question, yes the "Privateers" are recruiting individual members into our corp and the "Privateer Alliance" is recruting corps whole on a role in role out, no rank pulling, do what you will basis. See the recruitment forum for details.

Now, as for the posting loss mails on our boards. You know as well as I do that not everyone posts them no matter who's board you look at. Just to make a point, I had two ship kills and a pod kill agenst D2 on Friday the 15, but when I checked their boards not one of them were posted there. Now I know by reading their board that D2 is very BIG on making sure that there peeps post both kills and losses . No disrespect to you all in D2 intended. I'm just proving a point. By the way it was today when I checked. So for the peeps that keep whinning about us not posting losses STFU. Untill you yourself can can prove that your corp. posts all there losses.

Le Skunk.... I respect the idea, respect having the balls to actually go along with this idea... but to me, when your hiding behind alts and systems with 100+ local... Get a random kill then run for the hills, sure as hell fun, but every hauler you catch just makes em realize that they have to be safer at how they go about their regular trading in empire. Will take a long time to exaust the concept (lots of stupid people) but dont go believing your actually causing a serious dent in the billions of isk that is flowing between the different 0.0 alliances...
just my 2 cents,
Xenny
