You are really sure ?
You're starting to sound like Ken Kutaragi (you know, the Sony guy..."Riiiiidge Raceeer!").
ASCN was first and thanks to your forum warrioring habits no one is ever going to believe anything else.
ASCN is the first publicaly launched Titan, does it make it the first built Mr Einstein ?
It must have hurt your enormous ego so badly........

And all that you could do was blab on the forums about how you had one for weeks but offered no proof.

Obviously not, the Gallente Federation Titan that Salvador Sarpati stole was built before that.
I'm sure BoB understands the need for evidence before they can have their claim to have built the first titan accepted by the community. Until now, nobody has presented any such evidence, consequently nobody takes you very seriously considering the reliability of bobs forumwarriors.

Originally by: Ather Ialeas 2) There are other big/powerful alliances in this game besides the ones we've seen so far. Namely Mercenary Coalition which would get a huge PR bonus from telling everyone that they now can put a titan to use in their merc contracts.
Contracts?? Hell, why didn't I think of that? All this time I've been raving about being able to move a dozen frieghters through the jump portal!
Me: "Guys, let's build a Titan! It makes a big boom and we will be uber!!"
MC: "Meh."
Me: "Hmmm.. okay... ummm, did I mention we won't have to do freighter ops for POS fuel every month?"
MC: "No more freighter ops?! Where do I donate??"
^^ It's interesting what motivates people. -

I have a curiosity question... what would it be useful to fit in the so many hi slots of a titan. I guess, firstly u put a DD device (more would be hard to train to fit them and I don't think so usefull as for the usage restrictions), a jump portal generator, a cloaking device and then maybe a clone vat bay...
Then, for the other 4/5 slots???
1. Guns, but I don't see a point for a titan going in combat in open space. It has low dps with other than capital weapons and useless with the other types. With capital weapons, dreads do more on poses. And then, everybody should flee when seeing a titan, to escape the DD device. 2. Remote systems, maybe, but it would be dull I guess. 3. Gang modules, but then again it would be dull for the titan pilot to train a lot of time for things u put on a fleet command ship and gain better bonuses. 4. Cynosural field generator?
So if the titan owners could spare a secret (maybe?) and enlighten me (us)?

The sig radius bonus on the minnie titan would be rather useful in a gang with carriers wouldn't it? Assuming the bonus applies to fighters.

I can honestly say compared to the Avatar, the Minmatar bonus for signature radius bonus seems kinda...off. -- The universe is governed by the aggressive use of force. Hows this for a little note! Oh, and YARRRRR!! - Petwraith I prefer the term RAWR - Xorus |

Originally by: Ather Ialeas From what I've estimated I'd say there are 5-10 finished titans on Tranquility at the moment and another 5-10 in build.
What is your estimate based one? What information do you have that nobody else does?
Seems to me like you just made up a random number.
Basing off of number of orders for complete sets of components to build them + time after delivery I'd say 5-10 is about accurate. I'm positive there are more than 2-3.

Edited by: Haywood Jahblomy on 12/12/2006 09:00:34 well... unless the opposing party includes merely a handful of painters and sticks to the target priorities, anything reducing signature is hella strong. not only does it result in roughly 30% less damage - be that shield or armour ships
heck... 400m resolution guns against a 224m typhoon (~200m with skirmish link: evasive) ( substract another 20% if someone decides to bring a hi-halo)
