Hi
I am thinking of hosting a player run storyline/rolplay event. Are you guys interested and if so what kind of entry fee would you be happy to pay to register? Are there any corps out there happy to maybe donate something to the winner? Pleave either reply here if you are interested or evemail me. In the meantime I am going to brush up on my eve history so my story doesnt conflict too much.
Regards

Hi
Just to elaborate a bit. This won't be an arena match and wont involve battling eachother to the death. This is a story based orienteering type mission, Kinda like a treasure hunt with clues and a story line. Anyone may particapate no matter if you are in an ibis or battleship it shouldnt make a differance.
A channel will be setup and the story will commence after the roleplay story line has been told and everyone has had time to register.
Thanks

Sure, I'm interested. Please evemail me more details.
As far as an entry fee goes, it depends on how elaborate an event you're planning. A simple treasure hunt shouldn't have much of an entry fee (unless the prize is really nifty), but I'd pay more for a more involved storyline.

If you can reveal a bit more about the event and there is some interest for it, EVE Guardian is interested in donating some ISK to the Winner.

Hi
thanks for the replies. I will go over some rules and reveal some of the events details but I cannot go into too much detail as that would spoil the events storyline. However what I can say is that the event would involve fyling around from system to system following clues given to them from the main character. A character will appear in the chat channel and explain a short story on his mission. The character will appear in the chat channel made requesting urgent assistance and a mayday call as he has been intercepted as what he percieves as a new alien threat. The players will then follow clues given by the character in roleplay and supply other characters part of this roleplay with parts and food and fuel even to get clues to his whereabouts. The first person to bring the pilot to safety back to the base will be rewarded first place. if the pilot encounters 2 or 3 players at the same time we will award them 2nd and 3rd place depending on time of arrival.
the rules
-Entry fee must be paid to register for event. Once registered you will be told the event channel this is occuring on.
- only frigates and shuttles are allowed to enter the event for balance reasons and to make it fair on everyone.
- no compensation will be made to people who accidentally die during event so a fresh clone is recommended.
- You have 1 ticket in event to request a hint from one of the characters. This is kind of like a lifeline hint. Once you have asked for a hint you have used your lifeline. you may also use this lifeline to get assistance on aqquiring parts and items.
- If you attack or insult one of the other game event players you will be warned and then disqualified with no reimbursment of your award.

Oh and for the prize:
I am thinking of giving about 80% of the entry fee total in cash to the winner plus donations from people like bp, bpc etc. So the prize should be quite nifty depending on who donates and who shows up. You could end up with a few mill in your pocket
just one note: no one has contacted me ingame yet so if you have a donation for the winner and/or suggestions or you want to be part of the gm's then please let me know ingame.
Thanks
