What she did would be in many ways the same as the Gallante stripping Caldari Prime of every natural resource, deterraforming the planet and giving it back to you. Her giving them back still was an attack, an attack veiled in kind gesture. In the end we got many of our people back, but long after the damage was already done. They were free to come back, yes but if given the option to go to what has become an alien lifestyle versus what you and your more recent ancestors have lived their whole lives. They were given a choice between what they know and were always told to be and what they don't know at the drop of a hat. Whether inadvertantly or not it was a pretty twisted attack for as much the freed as those fighting for their freedom. |

30% of all Minmatar are still Amarr Slaves. Releasing a tiny minority is hardly a cause for celebration.
Besides they would only release the most indoctrinated slaves, hardly freedom, they simply wear chains around their brain rather than their body and to add insult to injury aid in perpetrating crimes against humanity to their brethren.
If the Empire was so wonderful for the Minmatar under Jamyl why do millions of slaves still smuggle their newborns out of the Empire back to Tribal space? Why is vitox still in use? Why is the Republic becoming less conciliatory to the Empire rather than more?
Let the Empire burn with its Empress they are the real monsters; the Drifters are humane in comparison. |
