Are people moving to the new 0.0 regions?

Im curious if any older or new found corps are already taking the steps needed to colonize there. Even more interesting if any wars are already happening there. Anyone news on this?

I talked to a guy who went out there during the first few days. HE SAID that they rolled a convoy of about 250-300 battleships through the region, mopped the floor with goonfleet, thouroughly cleansed the surrounding systems to where they wanted to colonize. Then shut down the area and moved in the industrials. They are a very powerful merc corp (well, used to be merc, not sure atm). Anyways, that's what he said. Don't take my word for it. ~~~~~~~~~ I wish my lawn was EMO so it would cut itself. I approve of this message.

Matae	Posted - 2006.12.12 08:26:00 - [7] I have explored quite a bit of them. About all I found was deserted regions and pirates/other explorers. Don't get me wrong, about 30 or so jumps you might hit a small tower owned by a 15 man corp but thats about it. The problem is it takes hundreds of billions for a large corp/alliance to set up shop. You also have to figure that since no modules drop that a corp would have to be very self sufficient. All in all I doubt it will be any time soon before the new regions take off. Most of the major players with assets to do this are quite happy with what they have and lets face it. Moving a alliance, building stations and setting up towers is a major pita. I do expect some smaller corps to go out there and spend the time and isk building it up. After there is something to conquer you might see some major alliances move to control it.

Not as high a concentration of owned systems as the rest of 0.0, but last I looked there were 3 or 4 different alliances up there who had claimed systems. I saw some very very small asteroids, but I did see drones EVERYWHERE. Gate spawns are much more frequent than I am used to in 0.0 although thats probably because so few people pass through there. The drone min drops are awesome, but these regions are not friendly to casual wandering ratters, unless they can arrange to get the compounds refined and back to empire. I forsee that there will be a lot smaller corps setting up shop out of a pos. I doubt very much that we will see an outpost there anytime soon. Ka-Tet alliance seems well entrenched in several systems with multiple towers. I also saw a few goonies and various other travellers. My sole pvp encounter was when I came 8 jumps to a blob on the map...a blob of one....and I found some guy afk in his shuttle at a planet. Well he woke up at least 50 jumps away in empire.

Some friends of mine had a lot more sucess, they found someone slowboating his raven from gate to gate. The guy finally saw them and warped.....to 0 km of the top asteroid belt sigh....
