Humm the Cane is under powered....... Im 10 and 0 in mine. Killed a Drake mrydom tempest and a Vaga. I love it. It can tank run dual reps. 5 light T2 drones help.
I like these mids. MWD T2 Sensdamp T2 or Tracking disruptor cap booster 20 km scram
With the sens damp by the time they have you locked you already putting the hurt on them. -VS- the Drake i damped him flew out of his targeting range then flew back in damped him.

As a Gallente with Minmatar cross training I have to say I prefer the Hurricane. Not had a serious fight with a Myrmidon for real but could handle one on SiSi.
6 220 AC either 2 Nos or 2 HAMs AB, Scram, Web, (caprecharer, booster, or tracking disruptor) 1600 plate, MAR, 2 EANM, Gyro, and either a DC or another gyro. Icant fit 2 MAR because I am still working on fitting skills.
4 Hobgoblin 2 and an Ogre 2
First class general purpose AC boat. I slightly preer the nos, tracking dampner version.

Thta configuration will get raped by a mirmidon. he will nos you dry you wont be able to repair theither web his donres.. he launches drones... kill you and out tank you.
If brute force doesn't solve your problem.. then you are not using enough!! |

Setup i've been using is
6 425mm AC's 2 Medium Energy neuts
1 10mn MWD 1 20k Scram 1 Stasis webifier 1 Large Shield extender
2 Inertia Stabilizer 2 Gyrostabilizer II 2 Nanofiber internal structure (sometimes i drop a nanofiber and put in a medium armor rep for on the go repairs.)
take note, all gear posted can be upgraded to named or t2, there isn't much problem with fitting reqs.
It's a little weak on tank, but the neuts will take care of any amarr or gallente ship, especially if they have a repper setup. I think it would have a tough time against a repping hurricane, a passive missile drake/ferox, and probably a myrmidon too, depending on skills.
While it may not WTFpwn all of the other BC's out there, it's a fast/maneuverable gunboat that will kill the cap of pretty much anything it see's. it's meant for solo/small gang belt pirating and 0.0 hunting, and that's where it excell's the best. It won't do well in fleets, and i won't pretend like it can go toe to toe with bigger and more powerful ships. It does however get in quick, dispatch quickly of smaller or cap dependent ships, and get away with relative ease.
The key here is to choose your battles, and don't be afraid to disengage when outgunned. to be a succesful pirate you must pick the right targets, stay alive, and scoop the loot. The hurricane does that well.

That aside (though now stuck in my head every time I see one )while all the tier 2's getting their removed weapon hardpoints back,would be nice, it would make them a bit too close to command ships and so overpowered (tho the unbalanced turret layout on the harbinger irritates me almost as much as the sacrilege). Besides you have to have somewhere to go with the tier 3's that will no doubt get released at some point.

There is no way in heck you can use 2 energy neuts like that, and you have a large extender in place of cap booster on normal setups. Without the cap booster AND 2 neuts, your cap will be dry in no time. Not to mention you hardly have a tank there. I think itd be better if you switched out the neuts for nos, and put some reps on that thing.

The damn thing is a absolute beast,
It can run a perfectly fine setup without a injector that goes a little something like
6x 220mm AC II, 2x HAML II 1x 10mn mwd II, 1x web, 2x scram/ew 1x 1600mm, 1x MAR, 2x EANM, 1x DCU, 1x Gyro
Which is faster then a deimos, does virtually the same damage, and has 11k armour with a perfectly fine BC tank.
It is a seriously kick ass ship and the above is just one option.
6x 425s with 2x salvagers for PvE, or 6x 180s with a injector for NOS immunity, And if you want you can go the 6x arti, and 2x HML route... but I'm not fond of long range myself.

No one said its a bad ship. But the other tier2 hac are BETTER. So.. or nerf other BC or give Hurricane something back. like 7th turrets or a bit mroe speed 9if its focus is really AC ).
Myrmidon and Drake are so overpowered when compared to Hurricane that is not even funny. Did anyone here faced a 2 MAR 4 NOS myrmidon yet? have an idea of how uber tank that is? Supported by multiple dampeners you never lock on a drone... and you die... If brute force doesn't solve your problem.. then you are not using enough!! |

Why cannot you get a lock on the drones eventually? No way Myrmidon is going to dampen you under the drones' combat range... Stay outside NOS range, wait until you get the locks on drones, and then web and pop-pop-pop them.

its not abouyt the range.. its about the time it takes when you have 3 dampers on you. If the myrmidon pilot scoop each drone every 30 seconds... you can never lock any of them ...(I suppose a well skilled in ewar Myrm pilot).
Myrmidons are absoluteli devastation on hands of a good pilot... If brute force doesn't solve your problem.. then you are not using enough!! |

in fact i agree.. if the othe rBC are touched to balance them at cane level (reduce myrm armor or speed, something sublte but that give him a weak spot) If brute force doesn't solve your problem.. then you are not using enough!! |
