Its been going off, then it flashed on/off on/off over and over. And then yesterday in the morning, I turned it on, it flashed a image at me like a loading screen, then it went completely black, and the power was still running. :( My monitor died, and thats what a Tech from my parent's work told me....sooo What Monitor shall I replace my old one with. I saw some nice ones at OfficeMax for 299.99$ EDIT: ohh yea, this sticks me only being able to read the forums from school which DONT have an EVE Client and my skill training for MatarFrig 5 ends tonight right before Midnight, PST Freighter Sales

Paddlefoot Aeon Neogen Industries Serenity Fallen	Posted - 2006.12.13 19:37:00 - [4] First Question: CRT(the big box) or LCD (the thin one) CRT's are cheaper across all size ranges, and they don't get burnt pixels. You can have your cat chase the mouse arrow on the screen, and not completely ruin your screen. They are less likely to fall over and break, and can be held on to in case of heavy winds. They used to have better refresh rates than LCDs, but not anymore. LCD's are the new technology, and will replace CRTs eventually. They are lighter (cheaper to ship), used 66% less power (or 33%, can;t remember), don't generate as much (if any) magnetic field, so less dust attracted to your work space. They also take up less space on your desk, and can even be wall-mounted. They are more expensive, and can have pixels burn out and be scratched (bad kitty). Framerate is very good, colour is fine (though some graphic artists and the like still swear by CRTs), and they come in widescreen formats as well. I would personally go with a 19" to 21" LCD... widescreen if you prefer. They can be found for around $300 online, if you do your homework. If your video card has DVI, make sure you get a DVI monitor. But you can probably find an old 19" CRT for around $80.. so if budget is a concern, go with what you can afford.
