boohoo some1 griefed my mission.
That is something interly difrent. so dont hijack his post hoping to get your own succes.
If you can fly lvl 4 missions you (should)know how to open your cargo hold.
And you (should) know of the possiblitys and steps you can take.
Here are a few options for ya.
- wardec
- track em and kill em.
- ask isk or wardec.
But you dont want that...you want a completly save method to earn is. without efford if you could.
Now if your new, you dont know what wardec is...you dont know how to track people etc,etc,etc.
Protect people in tutorial sounds fair for me.
Protecting people in lvl 4 missions is a intirely diffrent matter.

yea but c'mon ffs.. these are NEW players, they are the life blood of the game! The only reason I can see for people to do it is to purposly put people off playing the game.... now, what kind of person would want that?

I have asked around and though im not in the possition to make any judgement on this case (or any case) my advise is that you should petition anyone who obviously is there to stop people doing the starter missions under harrasment. A Gm will then look into it for you and can definatelty tell you one way or the other.

You may be right.
Killboards are the single worst EVE Feature and creates NOTHING worthwhile.
They remind me of the people who like to fight and think they are tough and must bray this to the world constantly.

Meanwhile the real tough guys, guys who have been around the block a few thousand times never boast or smack, they just sit back quietly in their badassness and are content.

This is factually inaccurate. When I FIRST started my trial I had the same problem. I tried to petition it and was informed by some pop-up box (from a GM I am guessing)that they couldn't affect spawn rates.

Clearly you was petitioning about the NPC spawn rates. Hutch was talking about players in there shooting newbies.

I was in the newbie tutorial. There were tons of ships there. Most of them were NOT newbie ships. Anytime something spawned it was killed before I could even get in range. The rookie channel had MANY people in it asking how to finish the newbie tutorial because they couldn't find any NPCs to kill due to others killing them as soon as they spawned.
I petitioned about it. That was the response I got. I'm a newb. I'm sorry I didn't know exactly what to ask about. Not completely understanding the game I didn't know to throw out accusations of greifing. I just explained what was going on.
If that's what CCP wants, for people to get frustrated by actions of other, non-new players, during the tutorials then that's their perogative. I'm not making a value judgement on that perogative.

It is most definately not what CCP wants, but I expect the GM didn't understand what you were trying to tell him/her and this is a problem - as a n00b you don't really know wtf is going on anyway, so it's impossible to frame the petition so it can be acted on in an articulate way.

Quite lame, even if it's for the rig components. Looks like the tutorial missions need a change.
If players can get some rig-component from the tutorial drones, then it should be something of no use for the normal player like for a civilian rig, that's just crap for the advanced player and only good for the tutorial.
Problem solved.

You know it is interesting because as I read the EULA and the Terms of Use, I donÆt understand how greifing is an infraction. Obviously the catchall clause 25 in the ôTerms of Serviceö is always in effect
