Except for those that are "tube children" it is plain that the "pod pilot" community is made up of people with at least 2 decades behind them in life so why is it my profile shows the first time in pod as the Date Of Birth? Can we PLEASE get this changed to "Date Entered Service" or some such? I know that term doesn't quite fit for a good number of pilots as "service" implies the military but it's the best I could think of off hand. Anyone else have any suggestions? |

It refers to your first clone activation. It's not possible to have the neural interfacing implants for pod control installed on a natural-born human, they have to be embedded into a dormant clone. When you get your certification, you are cloned, and your birth body is destroyed. It's an apotheosis, and Date of Birth is a fair term for it.
Or if u want, its teh day ur toon wuz born, d00d!

DOB together with employment history is very precise info for pirate in local chat how expirienced the other pilot is... i find it a bit disturbing that ppl can get so many info from just looking at local. DOB and EH should only be seen in corp or when applying to corp. |
