What controls RP/day amount?

Live Eye	Posted - 2006.12.14 09:06:00 - [1] I have currently tried to use 4 different r&d agents, two level 2 ones and two level 3 ones. The highest RP/day I got was 68 per day from a level 2 quality 18 agent in .5 sec. I naturally thought a level 3 agent would give more, so I stopped the level 2 research and went to a level 3 quality 15 in .8 sec which gave me 42 points per day. Right away this made no sense so I thought the security level might be the problem. So then I went to a level 3 quality 16 agent in .3 sec and then I got 46 RP per day. What is the problem here and why am I not getting over 100 RP a day with a friggn level 3 agent in low sec? Please tell me I just want to set a good one and forget it until I have the time to deal with this properly... Codeguru

Live Eye	Posted - 2006.12.14 09:10:00 - [5] The base question is, I got 68 rp a day for having lvl 2 skill in the research field from a level 2 agent. Now I get 46 rp a day for having lvl 3 skill in the research field and it's a level up agent wise. Why is this possible?... Codeguru

Codeguru Some fields get a bonus the total amount of RP, Starship get x3, 3 or 4 other fields get x4. Live Eye	Posted - 2006.12.14 09:35:00 - [11] Umm ok I have to ask, why the field mutiplier? If the number stays the same for everyone in a specific field isn't it a meaningless computation? Unless datacore cost isn't affected by the multiplier but it seems like it would be... Codeguru

Codeguru - Datacore cost is not affected by the multiplier as far as I know. - Some BPOs are handed out in several fields. For example, Caldari ship BPOs are handed out in Mechanical and Starship Research fields. For those BPOs, different multipliers for the different fields directly lead to different chances of getting the BPO. ---------- These are my views and mine alone.
