Dunno if this is the correct forum for this, but a few of us in-game have been trying to figure out how drone damage is calculated. If there is a FAQ somewhere that I missed on the forum please link it for me.
Here goes:
With the following skills what would the drone dmg per drone be for:
Gallente BS 5
Drone Interfacing 4
Heavy Drone Operations 4
Flying a Dominix (10% bonus to drone damage per level) and using Ogre I's (base dmg 24)
Is the calculation: base + (base x drone interface) + (base x heavy drone ops) + (base x gallente bs lvl) = drone dmg?
so in this scenario, if above calculation is correct it would be:
24 + (24 x 80%) + (24 x 20%) + (24 x 50%) = 24 + 19.2 + 4.8 + 12 = 60 dps per drone?

(Drone damage, 24)(Drone interfacing bonus,1.8)(Drone ops bonus, 1.2)(BS V, 1.5)=77.76 dmg. Order doesn't matter.
Divide by 2 for dps, two second rof. So 38.88 dps. I think.

Ahh yes I forgot that drones fired once per 2 seconds...nice catch.

Any skill that boost drone damage only boosts the damage modifier on the drones.
So with Ogres you start with a x1.6 mod.
With 20% bonus from heavy drones IV it becomes (1.6 x 1.2) = 1.92
Drone Interface IV bonus of 80% it becomes (1.92 x 1.8) = 3.456
Finally with BS V, it's (3.456 x 1.5) = 5.184
This final damage modifier is used to calculate damage.
Base damage 24 x Mod 5.184 = 124.416 damage per shot.
Divided by 2 for RoF, you have ~62 dps per Ogre I.
5 drones x 62 dps = 310 dps.
With Drone Interface V and Ogre II, its ~82 dps per drone or ~410 dps for 5 drones.
With max skills 5 Ogre II does ~450 dps. Not amazing, but enough to get the job done.

Thanks, very helpful. I calculated that with DI 5, Heavy 5, Drone Spec 4, and BCs 4 that I'm pulling 435.456 DPS with 5x Ogre IIs.
