All miners are now advised to stockpile all their minerals until the next patch is released.
Within Empire Space, systems 1.0 - 0.5 are almost exhausted of even the basic minerals.
Systems 0.4-0.1 are now being exploited and are bound to run dry as more battleship miners move into these systems.
The proposed change to the market system allowing the use of a single decimal point in trade items is bound to see a 20% or more rise in the cost of trit.
This in conjucntion with more difficult mining conditions and the possible nerfing or banning of battleship mining in empire space is bound to see many miners leaving the Eve universe and those remaining will have to increase their prices.
Remember what happend to the price of Mega etc when that was mined out of empire space just a few months ago.
If the cost of the basic minerals jumps at least 20% then that will have a knock on effect of all items produced.
Miners may be able to take advantage of the new skill Deep Core Mining but in the early stages only the very few will have access to the technology.
Miners, if you have to sell to purchase skills/equipment maybe you corp can help. Speak to your corp leaders if you are in a corp.

Techell Corp will buy minerals at those prices in Algogille.
Trit = 2 isk Pyer = 6 isk Mex = 20 isk Iso = 72 isk Nocx = 292 isk
Contact Datsevlu for more info.
We do not reqire Zydrane and Megacyte at this time since our stock is still high after the miner 2/mega deal, infact we should not need mega and zyd for few more months.

This has been mentioned before, it's time CCP considered removing mining capabilities from BS's and created high end mining platforms. It wouldn't eliminate strip mining but it would certainly force a CEO's into considering more balanced mining set ups amongst their corp members.

I don't know if anything's actually changed but I've never had trouble finding ore to mine in our 1.0 system until the last week. During which time it's been getting harder and harder until by today one was scavenging for even one freighter load of anything but Veld.
Of course stockpiling would be nice but I need the money now! :-)

Nice thought, sadly its totaly untrue.
I had a quick scout around and all of the systems that I checked had ore to spare.
If you really can't find ore check out the following systems:
Cat Derririntel Tieriieu Osmomonne
IMHO this thing about there being a shortage of ore in high-sec systems is a myth. All you need to do is to go a few jumps away from the main systems.

Edited by: Amin on 23/11/2003 13:35:58 There is plenty of ore in 1.0-0.5 systems u just have to be bothered to look for quiet systems. So i cant see a major increase in price due to lack of ore.
However, with the new decimal system without doubt the price of trit and pyerite will rise, and rightly so. Trit for example is worth more than 1/unit yet paying 2/unit seem too high.

Pls ignore Lu'cesha post (or a moderator delete that scam attack pls). She is not a member of techell and seems to try a new form of warfare in here.
