I prefer games with harsh rules over those with the chance to get your ship back when it is lost under such conditions any day.
Oh wait. Insurance covers the ship in the first place. Modules are cheap, lag issues are well known to be around, and the chance to get the ship back with the destroyed modules after the GMs check your claims is fairly high.
Follow rule #1: Never fly what you can't replace easily. --*=*=*--

You had a partial client desync. Nothing special, nothing rare.
Unless you're just trying to enter warp or jump (session change), you wont even find out that something happenned. --*=*=*--

When you're scrambled, the speed-o-meter doesn't show that you're accelerating to full speed, and it doesn't read 'warping'.
At least it didn't the last couple of times that happened to me. --*=*=*--

Originally by: Grez Guessing my the amount of *snips*, I'm guessing this person is just a part-time troll who's angry at her/his loss that was his/her own fault for flying an uninsured ship into a mission, and not realising that she/he was warp scrambled.
The *snip*s have been a bit biased and unnessessary if you ask me, but you should not do that as that would mean discussing forum moderation in the open.
The loss probably was not about being scambled, but an old reanimated client malfunction that often happens when there's 'some' lag and server problems around. Luckily the server logs used to show that there's a problem (probably through missing client input).
Well, the part about the missing insurance is true. --*=*=*--

In most or all other online games you do not even have the chance to petition about a reimbursement. --*=*=*--
