What price? Second rate mercs trying to catch the mission runners and haulers on WTZ?

I am not the official IAC diplomat, Kaylana Syi is, however...
As one of the other IAC Executive:
To those that think we are what we were when ISS first hired MC to attack us(never confirmed, that war has battle-hardened our dedicated base and we have weeded out the problems we had before. Suddenly MCFixKia no longer have the range advantage in BS that they used to, and our capital fleet has gained considerable strength. This will be a different fight all together as we have our allies close and our enemies closer, and all I can say is that I am horrible excited to see the battles ahead. Even better, I can't wait to see what the newly appointed Kaylana, a good friend of mine, can do for our political nature.
Oh, and ISS, this will teach you what happens when you markup everything on our market by reselling at a much higher price nearly everything we put up on the markets.
GL to all involved, have fun, and please remember that at the end of the day, its a game.

tbh IAC just wanted a striaght fight with ISS, ISS were the ones who escalated the war by brining in mercs to do the fighting for them when they have the capablities....
Nadija, ISS were always goign to hire merc, and there is nothing wrong with that in the slightest, they are an industrial alliance, not a PVP alliance, so they fight using their wallets, however the fight between ISS and IAC was escalated when pos warefare was involved. And IAC has still not moved on ISS assets.
Welcome to the fight KIA, it brings a warm feeling to my heart and pride beyond counting to be a part of an alliance that needs 4 Merc corps hired against it, and will likely prevail still.
there is a limit to spending money to save money, a wize adversary will make note of this value and withdraw before loss outweighs both potential gains and possible further loss.
And since IAC have declared and proven no intention of moving on ISS assets... to date, the loss ISS will incure will only be ships and contract fees.
However I do not represent the opinions and strategies imposed by IAC leadership and cannot in all honesty give a difinitive comment concerning IAC's moves concerning POS warefare, as sovreignity has been challenged in IAC space, it could very well be that IAC are considering a simmilar move, however nothing has been seen or said to give creedence to this possibility.
once again these are my own views and opinions, and do not represent those of IAC leadership.
May all enjoy the shoosting

Originally by: Tyrrax Thorrk IAC is not particularly interested in taking those two outposts, but that could change easily enough.
IAC leadership had the opportunity to take POS warfare out of the question, and repeatedly refused to do so. They chose to lie about their situation with ISS (n sx: "business as usual") and then launched a huge multi-party invasion of ISS outpost systems. I suppose they thought being*****y, cool and coy would confer some kind of tactical advantage.
But don't start a war if you don't like the way it might go -- especially if you're the ones who choose to leave all the unpleasant options on the table. The conversation between the Count and Tyrrax really couldn't be any more clear.

The quotes you present which are from leaders aren't the least bit clear on the subject, since when do vague hints and taunts equal clarity ?
"shooting pos is not out of the question" (ISS has POS in many other systems beside KDF and ZXIC fyi)
We'll take their outposts if we damn well feel like it, but IAC has never said it will so shove a sock in it.

Being deliberately vague, even suggestive, when a large neighbouring alliance asks if you intend to assault their POS, is generally not a good diplomatic move.

Others would say that it's a brillant move as it made an allegedly neutral/non-political alliance to make an agressive move which by all means wasn't necessary (obviously this is a matter of oppionion ie. depending which side you're on ) ____________

I'm not saying anything which hasnt been said already here, but allow me to repeat what others in ISS have already said.
ISS changed their charter. We don't claim to be neutral, we claim not to be driven by politics. ISS act to protect the assets and income of their shareholders.
A hostile station parked in a main travel pipe, 1 jump from key ISS assets, from which raids into ISS outpost systems are managed on a daily basis is not something ISS shareholders, or the alliance, is going to tolerate.

Dude, I'm not a leader. I'm an anti-leader; I'm the whole reason FOR leaders. I'm technically a director but my applicable power within IAC is limited to shouting alot. Which, you know. I do.
I shouted that particular bit while still wrecked after the Tournament and didn't know any of the details, since for me (and the rest of the IAC grunts) information about the standings change was kept off until the last moment, probably because of security leaks.
Stop trying to use me in your propaganda. It's silly. ----

I suppose they thought being*****y, cool and coy would confer some kind of tactical advantage.
First of all, the quotes you post are sooooo ooooh soooo vague and secondly actions speak louder than words.
If we work on this same principle we would be marching to overthrow everyone every day because of taunts and comments such as these, there have been far worse said for far less consiquence.
If you ask me, the comments were used as a scape goat so that a move on IAC could be made, Puting up pos' in a neighbouring system and putting neighbours pos' into reinforced to me is the agressive move, not a "maybe", "kinda" "ya never know" the only comment i see there that could even be remotely considered a genuine statemnt of usch a move, came from someone who isnt even in leadership.
If IAC wanted ISS stations we would have moved to take them before the announcement, and topped the announcement off with the first strike, rather than camping the system with 30 or so frigs.
pos warefare is certainly not out of the question now that its started, and IAC are not scared, we beat back a simmilar invading force once before and we will do it again, However the fact remains, that the war escelation is a move made by ISS not IAC and trying to use lame excuses and vague quotes to justify it wont wash. Simply ISS have made an offensive move.
We shall see how this pans out, and win or lose, its going to be fun, hell I'v had boatloads so far, and plan on having boatloads more. and tbh if MC FIX KIA and Veto all hastled iac pilots as good as they put pos' into reinforced, ISS wouldnt ever need to worry about IAC being hostile, the way would always be clear.
This is once again my opinion only and not that of IAC or It's leadership.

I see why this agreement between ISS and LV came to life. You both seem to think that stations is all that matters. Where is your once so strong coalition? Enslaver you have shown up in many iss/iac threads making vague threats about how you guys are coming and it spells the end of IAC. TBH the iac side does not fear you guys anymore. The threat of LV has been quite diminished when you guys changed from your olden days when your core was built around Shinra and M Corp, and you guys were a lean and brutally efficient alliance. You guys have grown quite fat with additions, some very good (finfleet), some not so much (crice corp). The thought of LV coming now doesn't inspire fear, it's more of well now we just have a bigger blob to deal with. So yes you guys will come, but if you think it's going to cause us to go "oh noes" then you are very much wrong. Come if you like, we'll be ready.
