Let me give you some pointers on this for someone who has been online mmo type gaming since about 1990. #1 - It aint female until you see it naked. Even today, rule of thumb should be everyone who claims to be female is either looking for free stuff, a wierdo, or both. If they get on TS and they can't seem to get their mic to work, its a guy. If they post a picture of a 'hot' looking girl in your forums, its almost always a lie. Therefore to uncle Herc, the OP is a guy. #2 - Gamer chicks are great until you get a bit older. I married a non-gamer chick. She does play some computer games, but nothing that pause doesn't work on, and has no desire to play mmo's. I foolishly tried to get her to play some several years ago but luckily for me she was resistant to them. Now let me explain whats good about being married to a non-gamer chick as a gamer. Someone has to change the diapers, someone has to cook dinner, someone has to do those little things that seperate you from hobo. If shes all excited because shes mining veldspar in Jita and you are on a PvP op the baby is going to stink and you will be eating frozen dinners you microwaved yourself at 35. Its not right. But uncle Herc you say, if the chick is a gamer she won't give you wife aggro when you game, you can play all night and no grief! This is true, but if thats what you are getting from your non-gamer wife then you just married poorly. My wife came to accept my addiction. I have even trained her to ask before having me help with something because I might be grouped/ganged with people who are depending on me sticking around. She now says things like 'Are you able to take a break?' before asking me anything while I'm gaming. But uncle Herc, I'm young, I'm not married, I have no social skills, why shouldn't I date a gamer chick in college?! Well in this you would be fine, but remember, just as gamer guys are known for gaining weight being very pale and poor hygiene, so are the gamer chicks. That cute girl at 19 playing EvE with you in all her free time, is going to be a lot different looking at 29. Now I can handle my physical deterioration but my wife goes to the gym daily. That is how it should be. Just think what horror would await my eyes had she been mining veldspar while drinking jolt 18 hours a day. But uncle Herc, I have no plans to MARRY her, its just young fun! Well thats fine, but remember, the longer you wait the 'the one' the greater the chance you get stuck with someones batscat insane castoff. I found my girl her first week in college, at 18, before she knew she was hot and had better options. You should do the same. I hope this brief warning has helped you all.

Shouldn't you marry someone who you like as a person, not because they're hot and they didn't know they had better options? Gamer girls can be just as responsible as gamer guys, but I've found that they're usually more assertive than some girls so you can't just order them to do the dishes for you. To be honest it sounds like either you or your wife settled, and if that's the case then you're in a poor position to be giving marital advice. It's true, I swear.
