You just really can't bring yourself to believe that we had absolutely nothing to do with this can you. Well we didn't.

On behalf of the Ascendant Frontier, I would like to formally apologise to the Band of Brothers alliance for our members jumping to conclusions concerning their involvement in the sabotage of our Teamspeak server.
The persons that committed these acts did so under the guise of your alliance, and it's no secret that many members of your alliance have access to our teamspeak.
At the time, it was sincerely believed on our part that you were involved, within the totality of the circumstances.
To the parties involved, congratulations, you were able to disrupt us for several hours when we're holding on by our fingernails, facing the greatest threat our alliance will likely ever face now or ever.
If anyone was wondering why CYVOK left, this is an example of what I meant by the "Downward spiral" of Eve in the last year or so.

We have done this in the past on one occasion I think, but never has it overstepped the boundaries into "harrassment" and if it ever did, I think that person(s) involved would not be allowed to do it or even booted from BoB.
If we would have done it, it would be obvious it was BoB and only in good sport.
Apology is good here I think, and maybe even one from the bob fanbois who sit here watching, and waiting for any oportunity to jump in and post garabage where bob is involved |

Lord XSiV, while you may be unhappy with any number of things in this alliance, remember, that you are still a member of our alliance.
Personally, there's quite a few things that make me angry about both Eve and our alliance, but running them up the flagpole in public isn't the way we do business.
You can either be part of the problem, or part of the solution.
CYVOK left under some very unfortunate circumstances. We pay tribute to him not for the way he left, but for what he did while he was here.
CYVOK was able to build a living, breathing 0.0 empire out of nothing. He didn't do it all himself, but if you were aware of the logistics, planning and execution he completed over the last several years to make everything happen, you'd be a lot more respectful than you're being now.
You may not like how he left the alliance, or him as a person. You're entitled to feel how you want. You're not allowed to come on the Eve-online forums, and blast people.
Not even BoB.
So please, use some self control, and post on our private forums if you feel like you need to vent.

Unfortunate these "RL issues" reached crisis point the day he inadvertently lost a Titan. I assume he DID give the insurance payout on the Titan to Asc not trouser it for himself as a leaving gift?

Actually no. First, he backstabbed Xetic while they were being pounded on by The Five, and then ASCN space was given to them. He built nothing, he used what he was given by higher powers.

You're starting to show your lack of direct experience in the conflict now. ASCN is fighting BoB, we've been fighting BoB for three months. ASCN, at the start of the war at least, was stronger than it has been at any point in its history.
You had the illusion of being the strongest you had been in any point in history (and proably that was your biggest mistake).... now you are experiencing the reality.
It is genuinely surprising that BoB have made so much headway so fast... particularly with the way sovereignty works. It takes a couple of months to get POS in place probably for the amount of territory that is being fought over.
Its 3 months down the line and BoB are already in AZN... what happens next month?
And there isnt even a bandwagon going on here, its just a straight up fight between ASCN and BoB. Its a minor miracle that BoB manage to spread themselves clear across the southern half of EVE with the numbers they have available at any one time.
ASCN should have been a brick wall that BoB kept banging their head against.. not the walkover, the EVE population has been a spectator to.
I'm really suprised at this post.
So far ASCN have lasted three months versus a very competent PVP force. DBP has been posting "soon we will win" messages for all that time and still its not done.
How can it be a walkover? Granted ASCN have suffered massive losses versus a very motivated PVP force...
You seem to be getting all fanatical about this, I wonder what your motivation is.
I really cant see this war lasting all that much longer, but I think you havent given ASCN enough credit here. BOOB have a shed load of PVP pilots commited to it almost 100% whereas ASCN just dont.
I guess sour grapes somewhere, either that or a penchant for waffles.

Given the circumstances posted by the ASCN member, and BoB's previous history of posting ASCN internal forums to the public, making ASCN TS recordings, etc, sounds like the OP has a good reason to believe the person griefing the TS was a BoB member...
Very sad, and I hope that kind of behavior stops. I suspect BoB leadership doesn't encourage it, but like any group, there are bound to be a**wipes amongst them too.

I will try to be 'respectful' in this reply however that is a difficult thing when dealing with someone part of an alliance that deems anything not 100% in line with the leaders to be considered disrespectful.
Well seeing from internal postings, alliance members are already calling for my head on a platter. Quite honestly, I don't want to be part of a group that resorts to threats against one who has a different opinion and not afraid to voice it. Especially since that opinion is intended to provide fair warning of questionable actions that will impact them going forward. I really don't think it ethical to continue using rank and file players as meatshield so that leaders can get personal and corporate assets safely back to empire for their own personal use.
As for making 'dirty laundry' public, well as is generally known, ASCN forums are basically pubicly accessable, so I am saving the effort by just posting directly to this forum.
Well in the ASCN world, I am obviously part of the 'problem' seeing as I am not following the doctrine and speaking my thoughts to an open forum. This wouldn't be a problem for ASCN if there wasn't any truth to what I was stating, so thanks for validating what everyone else has known.
Sure, pay tribute in your own way. My tribute is to point out to the community that he was not a good leader and basically scammed eve players by using an alliance to carry out his plan. The rest of you in ASCN are just slow to realize it. What he did while he was here is coerced players into building him a shiny toy, proving to the community he was not competant to use the toy and then subsequently complained when he lost the toy.
I am fully aware of the logistics required. Cyvok built nothing himself. Stop giving him credit, especially when it isn't due. Other pplayers built the stuff, he just pointed out what he wanted. Not to difficult to accomplish, which is why his leaving the game was such an easy decision to make.
The next statement you made is where we digress and I am glad that you posted it for the Eve community to show exactly how ASCN leadership leads. How dare you try and dictate to someone else how to play a game for which they pay to play? What gives you the right to tell someone that they can't post on a game forum for which they pay for? Just a little bit of condescending wouldn't you agree?
Then again, I am not surprised by the statement as it is intended to illicit a submissive response by using fear tactics. Standard command and control technique; standard used by ASCN. Unfortunately there are still quite a few people trapped by this. Those of us who aren't affected by such primitive social controls only wish those who are caught up in the web of deception can eventually see the light and free themselves.....

Although I feel this is a waste of my time:
1. it takes a lot of time to destroy ASCN and the leadership in BoB doesn't waste theirs coming up with non-combat oriented ways of doing it. Forum whorage is how most of us spend our time while we wait for targets. Although it is not against the rules - most leaders are against it anyway. When the leaders post something you can believe it is the truth.
2. we aren't winning because of TS problems, hacks, or forum spammage.
3. I have a lot of respect for those ASCN that are out there fighting. It is what the game is all about.
4. BoB is a group of experienced and self-supportive players. I thought they were evil too; until a friend joined them. Then I realized - they only seemed evil because they could kill me and the corp I was in without thinking about it. ASCN should never have felt this way. We did have to think about it. In fact, most BoB are amazed at how fast things fell apart for them. We don't hack, cheat, or exploit. Those who do, I was warned, are kicked from the alliance.
5. I have never read a more comedic thread.
