Is this a good defence for solo fighting on lvl2 missions?
I meant to try it out, but got a warning or somthing pop up **** on my screen! And of course like the chiken i'am did not use it! do not have the mony to loos my ship in 0.7 space :)
Is it so that using ECM bursts, get Concord to put somthing up where the sun don't shine on your ship??
If this are somthing worth trying, do it help ageindt ship controled drones. The range are only 5k, and the ship that controles the drones are most likly not that close
Hope some1 can help me, spesealy with question nr2. Do Concord get ****ed if you use it!
Have fun!

Edited by: Constorator on 17/12/2006 01:34:06 I am not quite sure what ECM burst would be good for. First of all, you need a ship with moderate amount of capacitor (Amarr BC or higher) and you need a agile and fast ship, (Minmatar Cruiser or lower).
Just about the only ship that I think that could utilize ECM bursting is the Typhoon. In fact, that seems like a pretty sweet idea. One thing, though, the mods do not affect ECM burst. They need to fix this, and maybe we'll see some burstphoons.

ECM burst is always a danger in Empire. You only need to hit one object that isn't 'yours' and Concord will come and pay you a visit. Also, not sure if it actualy does affect NPC's. Assuming it does, all you have done is break their lock and use up a lot of cap. Unlike regular ECM, they are not jammed for 20 secs. They can start to lock again straight away.
In 0.0 though I have found ECM Bursts in the right situation to be invaluable and to have saved many ships. That said, you want to be on your own, as gang mates could lose their lock as well if you are in tight formation.

Edited by: James Lyrus on 17/12/2006 11:50:12 ECM bursts are a 'near worthless' module.
There's _some_ situations where they're handy, but mostly they're a waste of a midslot (and cap). They break the lock on everything within range _if_ it succeeds it's jamming strength thingy. And then they relock you, and continue shooting you. Possibly if you were to use it as a 'last ditch' to break locks and warp, it'd be good, but then, almost anything else in a midslot would probably be better.
It doeesn't work against drones, which relock quickly anyway, and IIRC are immune to ECM in the first place, and will trigger concordokken like any AOE weapon.

ecm bursts can be very useful on some setups. try a curse with an ecm burst and 2/3 sensor damps. i doubt he will ever have u locked

yup, ecm bursts are very effective module. now that multi's have been nerfed, they're the next best thing for close range BS. just watch the cap consumption tough. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sig too large.
