What do I need to do lvl 4 missions? I have looked on the forums and people seem to be recommending 1+ billion isk shield boosters and such. I know they have warp scramblers in level 4 missions, so I am hesitant about just warping in to check out the missions.
Can a T1 fitted Raven survive? My skills are reasonable.

Edited by: Zyper on 17/12/2006 18:43:01 Edited by: Zyper on 17/12/2006 18:37:45 Well my setup changes a bit according to what mission, ill give you a few.
High: 6x Named Cruise launchers (the better the faster the mission is done, but any will do really, as long as you tank holds), 2xtractor beams
Med: XL Shield booster tech2, 3x t2 hardeners(rat dmg here:http://eveinfo.com/missions/4/), shield boost amplifier, capinjector(400 or 800)/sensor booster/target painter.
Low: BCS II, 4x PDS II
Now most missions can be done with a tech1 setup, and easy too.. but some missions can even get me a sweat if I aggro something I wasen't supposed too, and a tech1 in that case would be raped in a very short amount of time. So far i have been able to do all missions, some I have to snipe at 200km with 2x sensor boosters tho. You can axpect to risk looseing a few Ravens until you are familiar with all the missions (scramblers in most missions, learn who they are and pop them first, can save you), a mission is A LOT more dangerous the first time until you know what you will run into.
Now I myself are about to switch to a "Rokh" for missions, with caldari BS5, the extra 25% resistance will make this beast tank any mission - the dps will however be a bit lower and i will have to fit tech2 guns and ammo to drop some BS'. -- |

Another tip is for you to go on the test-server and try some different things there. You might even find some bugs to report while you're at it. Go to the test-server bit of the forum and read all rules before you do though. And as the previous poster said, most missions can be done in a stock t1 setup if you are used to it. But some missions just can't.

Hm. Previous one is quite reasonable to start L4 missions altho I prefer slightly modified version of it.
Hi: 6x cruise launcher (named is better), 1x heawy NOS (if you have enough cpu) Med: XL booster, shield boost amp, 3x hardener, cap injector (x800) Low: 4x BCU (II is better), 1x Damage control (named is better)
For a begineer it might be reasonable to switch one BCU for fitting mod and fit another heavy NOS. Those x800 charges will give you a bit more breathing room if you do mistake and get big agression on you. Loot in spearate ship and carry around 16 charges and rest ammo. Use T2 where skills allow and be prepared for a loss or two during learing process.
