... should be permanent.
Titan losses are presumably going to remain rare enough to warrant a shade of attention from the EVE content team when one of them gets downed, at least enough to add back the wrecks that disappear at downtime. Maybe with a title or something - in this case "Ascendant Frontier's Titan Wreck", or "Steve's Lament". Whatever.
The great giant deserves a memorial. Who's with me? ----

or they could put it on one of the nice blue water planets and it can turn into a corall reef where all the fishes and snailes and those beautyful anemones can live in peace with flowers floating around it and all is safe inside it because its so full of secret hiding places and nobody can ever find them when they are there and the flowers will just glow in the dark like stars in a distant solarsystem havent glowed forever more as the night fell upon it into darkness.

Okay, over the top.
If they make the titan wreck permanent, I will fly out there in January to look at it. I think it'd be interesting to see once. --------- Gallente need ONE ship with an ecm bonus option. JUST ONE. |

It should be a semi persistant object that can be mined and salvaged over time, I forget the episode number but there is this episode of Farscape where the crew end up living and fighting on this dead space creature thats as bit as a moon. Damned if I can remember its name now, anyway they are living on a colony on the creature itself and the miners are stripping the corpse over centuries for the rich mineral deposits left after the creature eats a space ship.
That would be cool, not that I mine but my wingman Bosie loves to mine and has many uber skills and mods with witch to terrorist asteroids.

The ASCN Titan wreck is like a memorial to the ultimate loss due to connection problems. I don't think there exist any other game where a player can lose thousands of dollars (rough equivalent of work/time) due to computer issues, in a matter of 5 minutes, without a chance to restore the losses.
I joined ASCN after the titan kill, so don't think I'm bitter about it or anything. I just want to point out that the manner in which it was killed isn't something to be proud of. It wasn't due to superb tactics of the enemy, even tho the enemy really was superb. What was just technical difficulties of a player unable to login.

/signed Would love to see it stay in game, as I think it is definitely noteworthy.
Also, if they ever get in-station out of pod experience working, would be scary stuff to be able to dock in it, and fight off the ghosts Rock*Out |

have some rogue drones turn it into the biggest nastiest bastard in eve.
That would be hot.
maybe make it part of a deadspace.. but i guess that would kill tourism...

"connection problems", you funny you!

Devs need to leave it there as a reminder to others, should they feel the need to CTRL-Q.

Already a thread on this elsewhere.
The only problem with ASCN titan being permanent is that it is 90AU from the nearest warpable object.

I wouldn't call that a problem, it makes it even more great:
LET TITAN WRECKS BECOME CELESTIAL OBJECTS LIKE STATIONS AND GATES.
so we can warp to them, see them as monuments, rising against the horizon, behemonts of war, reminding everybody that all things are fragile and can be destroyed, but will never be forgotten!
