Hi, sorry I'm kind of new to the game still, only been playing since Mar 06 and most of that was spent just training things.
Anyway I was looking around the forums for ideas on what to fit my Rokh with and I saw people mentioning this skilly AWU lvl 5, it sound like it lowers the power requirements on turrets?
Sounded like something I would want to start training asap.
Thanks.

AWU = advanced weapon upgrades
Reduces the powergrid needs of weapon turrets and launchers by 2% per skill level.

ahhh! is there an online guide some where that shows skills and the pre-reqs for them all as I'm at work right now and for the next 2 and half hours, would give me something to do while waiting for work to come in.

Maybe?
You need Weapon Upgrades 5 to be able to start training AWU.
Edited to add a link, for the lazy lumps out there.

Thanks, I figured it was on here some where. I've got a ways to go yet, only have weapon upgrades lvl 2 atm.
When I get home maybe I'll see what I have on my ship so far and post it to see what you guys things. I'm know I'm a ways from tech 2 stuff but it doesn't seem too bad. I'm really debating between all rails or half rails/half blasters. I current Ihave half and half though I forget which ones, I'll have to see
Well thanks once again

As a general rule it's best to stick to weapons that have the same or similar range. If you go half and half you're never going to do great damage, whereas sticking to a single range allows you to optimize the rest of your setup for this purpose.

does that hold true for PVE and PVP? I mean I want my ship to be for PVP but right now I'm doing some lvl2 mission for money and want not and when some of the npc cruisers get too close I can'y hit them at all with 8 large railguns, so I thought the blasters would help a bit. my drones do an decent job but when there are 15 or so npc cruisers coming at me my drones don't really take them out quick enough and my railguns are useless at close range as they have horrible tracking, as the npcs always get closer.
Right now I have four 425mm scout I accelorator cannons and 4 modal mega neutron particle accelartor Is. plus 3 different active shield hardners, shield recharge with booster, and a couple low bonus things for the guns and powergrid output.

Edited by: Twilight Moon on 18/12/2006 09:18:58 You're doing Level 2 missions in a Rokh??!
All power to you and all that, you're free to fly what you want, but try using a Cruiser for Level 2's, its more than enough, and will get the job done quicker.

Thats one of the mysteries of eve if you want . Medium rails are much better than large rails to deal with cruisers, and small rails are better to deal with frigates. You also want to use a ship which gives you boni to the guns you use, which means going down in shipclass. Sadly caldari have no good rail BC, ferox is a joke as a railplatform for pve so i can only point you over to the brutix. Dark-Rising |

I wouldn't exactly call it a mystery... more like a way to NOT make everyone fly the biggest ships and fit the BIGGEST guns all the time.

Remember to train up your learning skills first, then the advanced version to lvl 4, maybe a set of +4 implants and your go for training. The lvl 5 AWU is otherwise a pain to get. Takes a while, costs a bit, but if you are planning on playing for longer, well worth it... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |
