Seems to me that no matter what you do and how many skill points you accumulate, this game this sucks. You here all of this ****e about fleet battles and tournaments, but is there honestly a corp on here that has more than 12 members on at a time and actually does anything?
Seriously. I have put in some time into this. Does anyone have a reason to stay? Like one thing that doesn't suck. I mean, I know the PvE is uber, but other than that...

This is the problem with a lot of folks mindsets. Eve is a good game, and has a ****-ton of potential, but until they get it stabilized, there's no possible way to call it great. Folks have low expectations I guess.
CCP, love the dream of your game. Stop trying to add **** and make the server match the dream!

EVE doesn't suck at all if you're into griefing and being a faceless *****; it's the best game in the world for officially sanctioned player to player griefing! Kind of makes you wonder if some of the Devs are the biggest in-game griefers...

On a serious note, OP, if you decide to stay and give it another go, feel free to evemail me any questions and I will try to help you. If I can't help you I will direct you to someone who might be able to. I reccomend patience with the game, it really is a steep learning curve. "This too shall pass." Once you get you head wrapped around it there is a lot of interesting stuff to fiddle with.

Think of life. Think of political events in your country. Do you play a part in it? Sure you do... Do you ever feel like you are contributing? Only if you get out there and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Eve is a world. Its up to you to impact it in the way that you want. Is your 12-man corp doing anything? If they are playing the game, sure they are. If one guy lost a ship to a pirate, he was a part of EVE. If you sold an item, you were a part of something larger.
Its the picture you paint that makes Eve the most beautiful painting, or the most uneventful piece of **** in the gallery.

How many skill points only make a difference in the stuff you can use and how well you can use it. A good frigate/destroyer and some fittings; you are good to go for a long time.
There are corps out there that do stuff all the time. Finding one that you like is the quest.

If you break eve down, It is by far the most complex MMORPG there is. To say its boring.... Well intellegence is required to play this game.

i dont have allmost eny problems.... only had uber bad lag onece.... but that was just before TD and got fixxed after TD :)

EVE is entirely what you make it. If you sit in high sec mining solo all day, you prolly
wont have much fun. This is like real life. If you go to the party and talk to no one, is it the party that sucks?
get out there, make a name for yourself, make friends in game, build something, and be proud.
My corp can field 60+ man fleets on the weekends. This is by no means super huge, and even this took quite alot of history and time to grow the corp into what it is today.
