I know this has prob been talked about before, but i cant seem to get the search function on the forums to work properly. Does CCP have anything in the works as far as Vet Loyalty goes(10+ years)? I had read somewhere a long while back that they were thinkin bout doin a system that only vets with 10 or more years could dock in. Is that going to happen or was that just a rumor mill thing? |

I think it was put aside for other things.
The gimmick wouldn't really matter and I agree that the development time is better suited to other aims.
CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids
There are other ways to fix Null Sec stagnation and Fozzie SOV is the wrong approach.

The vet loyalty reward program is that it says that you were born in 2003/4/etc. That is reward in itself!

Planed was a station where only 10-year Veterans can dock.

[i]Back when it was made, development were looking into how to do this, and the time it would take vs the overall level of engagement that would come out of it.
It's been decided by our Development team that a Station is not the best use of resources.

Besides, Jita station traders don't mean anything to me, let alone "EVE vetness" if they've sat there for 13 years |

So far CCPs consumer loyalty program consists of a bunch of speeches where they claim what a cool consumer loyalty program they will implement and that it will be totally awesome and stuff. That was like 2.5 years ago, nothing else happened since.
It was also announced by CCP on stage that there will be a veteran station where only 10+ year old veterans can dock. They later discarded this idea in some comment in some post in the forums.

My guess is they are banking on effort being better used on trying to get new people into the game than pleasing what amount to a minority for questionable gain. They need new blood no matter how you slice it and I'm pretty sure you don't get new blood by giving your current vets something somewhat exclusive. |

I have other ships that spend majority of their life in bay, some are very rare. I still keep them, look at them, admire them and even ocasionally fly them. I cant fly all of them at the same time.

Let's be honest.
if you got some rare one time awesome ship you'll never undock with it and you'll store it on some highsec station for all times as you know you'll get podded the moment you undock with it.
Vet station? meh... what's the use? there is nothing to do on stations beside counting spins.
I'll recommend some vanity skins (permanent) and maybe more options to avatar (like unique vet backgrounds?)... nice things which you could actually use. |

as stated they were looking into a vet only station, but the idea was foolish, as it would not be used much anyway.
someone mentioned letting us have Swords in our CQ like the eve devs who hit 10 years get. That was an interesting idea.
I'd settle for a badge on the forums, or a ship or even a skin might be nice. But i'm good either way

This would be a great idea. When your account gets to be 10 years old you get a BPC 5 run that is the ship. Just like they did with the Gnosis.

How about a new system anyone can use. But it's only available on Feb 29th. And to dock up in one of the stations, you have to be sitting in a leather Thong and provide pics to the CSM 24 hours before the 29th to prove you are kinky and sick... |

Was hoping this was going to be a thing too, but now theres the 15 and 20 year markers next.

Should only be applicable to original char / account holders though. None of the transferred oldies. |

probably one of the oldest things that were pushed aside or dismissed as a nice thing that will never catch on as an implemented idea.

But as i said in other topics that asked for a 10+ specialty i'd say we allready got that.I at least have had 10 years of good memories of this game wich no docking station can ever top.

Not a vet here, but I always thought you folks should get something slightly more fun and unique, like:
- a specialized pod. I always pictured a silver egg and chuckled when the gold variant came out, or
- Special Rookie ship variant (i.e., your own "faction" rookie ship that spawns for only 10yr+ vets upon docking). It spawns with a firework launcher. Or,
- Gold Trim (like military scrambled eggs on officer hats) around your avatar pic.
- Your own unique weapon. I advocate - again - for "Coffee's Patented Rapid Light Corpse Launcher".
