Edited by: Fubear on 18/12/2006 23:14:20 Edited by: Fubear on 18/12/2006 23:12:59 When you are out making money, what do you do, and how much do you make.
What is the ISK value you place on your time, beneath which you don't want to work.
When I used to live in 0.0 I made 20Mil/Hour ratting in a Dominix.
These days I run production at around 200Mil a day profit, which averages out to 8Mil an hour, but it a lot more when you consider the amount of that time I am actually playing (say 4-6 hours a day which is 30-60Mil an hour).
Overall I value my time at 15-20Mil an hour, and anything over that is a bonus.

I only try to make money when I'm running low on ISK. I've got a good lucky streak though so I also always end up finding some uber named/faction gear from ratting/pirating/etc within a few days of starting and that boosts my income, so I work very irregularily.
What does that work out at hour/isk wise if I don't get anything neat? 10mil and hour usually, and that's a mix of 0.0 ratting in cruisers/BC (BS too expensive to potentially lose in a ratting setup) and low sec pirating for ransoms. ___

It's probably a negative income rate these days, but back in the days when I was doing trading I used to make 2.3b a day.
Plutonium 4tw is all I say.
(and before anyone is miffed, it was a 0.0 traderoute whose supply/demand didn't reset after downtime like their empire counterparts)

You cant place a 0 isk per hour tag on "work time", only on "pure fun time"
There are still people that say "If I mine the minerals myself, I can build stuff for free", and those are the people that will sell stuff under mineral value...
I run a POS, and while I could mine the ice myself, its actually CHEAPER run missions/rat/trade and make isk to buy the ice. In the same amount of time i would have spent mining the ice, i make isk to buy that ice, AND have isk leftover.
"Pure fun time" is another matter entirely: that usually costs more then it pays (shopping sprees? an average night exploring and not finding the good stuff but still having fun"?)
I dont know what exact pricetag I would place on my time spent "working", but I do keep perspective and choose the most profitable route.

Hard to say, since my playstyle has been mission running with that money being reinvested into trading. And then I would have to factor in the loyalty points and storyline missions. I would say 20-50m isk an hour would be the region I'm in. But it can vary greatly as income is not constant. As long as I make enough isk for the ships I want to fly and to have replacement of loss capacity I do not really evaluate my time, I do what I wan't to do, not slave for the wallet.
It would be better to ask how old and net worth. In this case I am about nine months and edging up to 5b, being 1.6b cash and the rest ship and fittings. I want a carrier and a rattlesnake btw, so I have to be rich(ish).
Low sec trade route for 2b isk a day? If true that's insane.

u can place 0 isk on ur time in a game i play pure for fun, when making stuff, i have an alt do 1 or 2 mineral runs in his charon, profit from what ever i built is my "work" time
building itself takes 0 effort besides a right click, if i have to put a isk lable on the amount i "work", it could go to several 100rd mil isk an hour, wich is pritty much unrealistic as it`s just a freighter run once in awhile
also atm i don`t do anything, i play for fun, almost all just chatting and forum w***ing, if i make an isk here or there, it wasn`t earned during work so it`s 0 isk

With Rev i moved into empire to grind LP for a new Navy Apoc but after a couple of days i saw there was isk to be made in rigs.
My hourly income has shot up alot since they patched salvageing, im takeing private orders for rigs and cant meet the demand (Im selling them quite cheaply, 35 mill for a Cap control rig for example).
Im sure as supplys start to meet demand the costs will drop to half or even less of what im selling them for atm.
Im useing a Faction fitted (the Mods ive been saveing for the Navy Apoc) rigged out Abaddon to Overkill lvl 4s at a very fast speed while my newb mate is salvageing he gets 20% on rig sales.
Its hard put put a exact number on the amount of isk im makeing but i probably made 400 mill in 6 hours today. It's great being Amarr, aint it? --------------------------------

About 10 million an hour 0.0 ratting, in bounties. If I counted loot (all goes to the big melting pot in the sky, so god knows how much its actually worth) probably double that.
However, PvP loses it faster than I earn it, so I'm never going to be a rich man -----------------------------------------------

right now 100-300k an hour though because I'm grinding an alt for 6 more research agents, (to bring it up to 18).
A lot of my income is dependant on "theoretical" isk for when I win the lottery.

1m an hour from a POS moon.
50m/h if I decided to mine...30m/h if I decided to rat or do L4s.
So around 1b/h.

Assuming the question is pretty much 'how much you need to be paid by hour to do not-that-exciting stuff', probably around 50M.
For example: - Rather than travel 3-4 jumps (12 mins), I tend pay 10M extra for a BS at the local station - The last occasions of NPCing had fun PvP aspect with 200M hourly rates (hello Mr. Tiadala) - Used (pre-contracts) escrows to have all trivial stuff moved, with high enough rates to complete the couriers in couple days
For all kind of new / potentially interesting stuff, the expected rates would be far lower (like for PvP even negative).
Although I think the faster I waste my savings, the lower rates I'll accept..

i'd say about 20 mil an hour baseline from 0.0 rat bounties. But there's loot and that can vary wildly. 200 mil drops happen periodically, arby siege/cruise come frequently. 30-50 mil domination drops usually once per day. Really 20 mil baseline, but a good bit more if you include loot in the long run. __________________________ Why babelfish is bad mmm k "which the night do not expect that it calls the primary education before becoming deformed inside" |

My theory has always been that once you starts setting quotas on your income and the amount of things you HAVE to do to make it worth it, it kills the fun of the game. I prefere to just live by luck and andventure, no solid income, but sooo much fun when producing Tech2 fitted wrecks

lv4 running 1-2 hours a day Pure cash around 20mil an hour LP goes to around 10mil an hour. Salvaging adds another 10-20 (if i were to sell them that is, which i dont) Loot comes to about 5mil an hour, 15 once a while if i get a good drop. so around 40mil an hour.
though in my mind i only make 20mil, since that's how much my wallet number changes.

Ugh, no idea and I dont want to know. I might run lvl 3's in Empire. I might jc to 0.0 and rat or mine a bit. I might sit around with my thumb up my ass talking to Corpies. I might fit a T1 Frig or Cruiser and jack around LowSec till I get ganked. I might minimize EVE and answer random threads on the Forum. I might help a n00b in Corp for a couple hours. I might examine the Contracts system, then snap out of my delusion and go back to the Market and mess around. I guess I am all over the place, just where I want to be.
