Hi guys, firstly apologies if this is the wrong place to post or if someone has started this already I did look but couldn't find anything.
However as im sure most of you know by now there has been a major earthquake that measured 8.3 near Chile. Multiple people have been killed an over 1,000,000 people were reported to have evacuated on our local news station here in New Zealand. Tsunamis have now hit and have been measured at 4 meters and above in some areas near the quake. Personally I know that we here are on a Tsunami watch and from what I understand so are Hawaii, USA, and many other areas.
Even without many statistics reliable or otherwise it is fair to say there is going to be a lot of damage and I would love to see CCP some time in the feature open another Plex For Good outreach. I know this might seem early to make a suggestion like this, but I have never had the funds to help others in game or out of game during previous Plex for Good. I am keen to help even if its donating my last billion isk to a cause such as this.

Sounds like an awesome idea. I haven't been around for any of the previous PLEX donation things but I would be interested in helping out. |

With these prices for PLEX there will be a limited response I am afraid.

Well, we're on a roll with PLEX for Good, eh? The whole big team temporarily stops trying to shoot, gank, scam or belittle each other, and gives big for the good. It's unexplainable, one of nature's unsolved mysteries....

Agreed the price of plex may stop there from being any real support and due to ingame issues I am at less than enough isk to donate a plex, though im working on it. I do hope that something positive happens

Frankly, I think that Chile is developed enough to care of the aftermath of this catastrophe better than many countries. Casualties have been low (that's a tribute to Chile's development and readiness) and although any help is welcome in such situations, this is not like your average natural disaster +á-la-Nepal.

Quite frankly not a bad point. When I posted this thread originally the news was just breaking and the disaster looked like it was going to be alot worse than it was.

I do believe the PLEX prices will make it more difficult, that's for sure. However, it's still worth doing in my opinion. Many of us are still hoarding a few PLEX here and there for such occasions. :)

If CCP does, I'll buy a plex and donate it, with irl money. I live in earthquake land and know it sux, been through some. And yes I expect trolls to whine about isk conversion to plex prices if/when my region gets hit again by a nasty quake. You guys have no class. +1 & to CODE.
