Ive noticed that there are at least two different Gas Harvester Modules beeing sold on the forum.
What troubles me is that they appear to use two different skills:
Gas Cloud Harvester I -> Gas Cloud Harvesting (Standard harvester)
'Crop' Gas Cloud Harvester -> Gas Harvesting (Named harvester, I assume)
The difference is small, just one word, but it non the less means that there are two diffenent skills to use equal types of modules.
Is this intended or is this a bug?

This actually needs an answer...
To repeat: Is it correct that there are two diffent skills used for Gas Harvesting? One for normal harvesters and one for named harvesters?

Thats odd, i assume the 2nd one's skill requirement is a bug.

So do I. The skill obviously exists in the database, but it seems wrong that there would be two skills for this. Confirmation would be nice though.

You ususally dont get feedback on bugreports. If you want feed back, you usually have to petition it...

Likewise I'd like to know too - I have the skill but a plow harvester that I can't use. I've bug reported it and petitioned but no-one will acknowledge it. I had a cloud to harvest but couldn't... please...fix this CCP! It's one word in a skill description that will change gas cloud harvesting and booster production for those of us that are trying to get somewhere with it.

Yep we all want to know. we sent in a petition for this, and got told to file a bug report.
when trying to file a bug report the bug reporting system is broken and we were told again to file a bug report !!!!!

Scout the cosmos area's for DS signatures. Complete the cosmos complexes. Hack or Arch your way to the skills or harvesters.

I have seen this bug as well. After investing a whole load of ISK in getting these items I then find that they dont work.
This is a serious bug that is preventing a whole section of the new COSMOS regiosn being used. Want to know why there are no boosters being made? Look no further than this.
Surely it is not a major issue to change the meta data for this issue or at the very least acknowledge its existance?

The other is for harvesting Gas Clouds.
The Ice Harvester is for mining ice
The Strip miner is for mining ores.
Anyhow I think one of them is for harvesting comets and the other for those gas sites. bad naming convention 4tl

You are wrong. Look at the text box:
Advanced Gas Cloud Harvester, extracts gas from gas clouds quicker.
They are for Gas Cloud Harvesting all right.

I too am sitting in the same position...
Have the Gas Cloud harvesting skill at 2, nearly 3 and cant use my Crop harvester... it took a lot to get to this point only to find a bug...
CCP anything?

I think the fact it's fixed on test is all the dev response we're going to get. Like Qual said, just gotta wait for it to be pushed to live now.
