I'm missing something basic on missions. I'm currently on MIssion of Mercy and it says waypoint reached but I don't see a medical drone and if I'm using my scanner properly, it doesn't see one either.
This isn't the first time a mission has ended me up in deep space. What is the basic point I am missing? |

Join the ingame help channel, its much quicker to get help there.
Missions take place at bookmarked locations in space. The agent will give you the location and all you have to do is right click space, go to the agent missions section of the menu that appears and warp to encounter. Once you come out of warp you will either see the mission or an acceleration gate to use. Use the acceleration gates to access the mission location. |

THANK YOU! I didn't know about the right clicking in space! I was looking everywhere for the acceleration gate and couldn't find it!
Wow, seriously, thanks! |

When you get into the insane help channel as about overview and settings. I had to tweak mine to be able to see everything I needed for missions.

To explain what happened, if your destination is in another solar system, and you set the autopilot to the solar system, it will tell you "waypoint / destination reached" as soon as you enter the solar system. It's like setting the GPS on your car to "Chicago", it'll say you've arrived as soon as you enter the city.
The right-click menu is quite extensive; when in doubt, right-click. The mission listing in the upper left corner of the screen also gives you extra options if you (left) click it, namely you can tell the autopilot to take you to the particular station or gate that you want, rather than just to Arnon or Jita or whatever solar system.
Otherwise (without the autopilot taking you all the way), once you arrive in the solar system, right click in space to select a destination within that solar system (your gate, a station, etc.). |

Also be careful about making sure you accept the mission rather than it just be offered. Some missions direct you to places that are always there.. and if you don't accept it just doesn't start.
heh... ask me how I know that ;) |
