Oh Mega Great Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, what will you do now.
ThatĘs quite enough about your important alliance summit meetings, letĘs hear more about us.
After using the new archaeology skills to find lost remains of times long ago, the corporation [WTF] failed to discover amazing loot drops which would make our corporation richer and more powerful than we could ever imagine, instead we stumbled upon the works of two leading social commentators, Engles and Marx. In a vein effort to make the most out of these obscenely terrible loot tables, the WTF conglomerate took said scripture and attempted to understand its meaning.
After discovering some of the meaning of these texts, reports of more ancient finds came in from the brotherhood. There was, apparently, once a great nation formed by NENIL and YKSTORT which took these social ideas and lived happily ever after in fields with workers, blonde women and bread.
WTF We want in.

It's "Whisky" not "Whiskey".

Actually there's 2 variations on the spelling. The Traditional "Whiskey" which is of scottish spelling and thus the TRUE way to spell it, and then there's the US version of spelling "Whisky", however as i'm currently aware they refer to it as "Scotch"
See I learned something when I worked at a whiskey shop!
(Also note, I'm scottish)
Final note:

The correct spelling is Whisky. Irish stuff is called Whiskey, and the US call it Whiskey after the Irish spelling.

The word "whiskey," requires the letter E due to its pronunciation and the origin of the word.
It is, with out matter of doubt spelt with an E. This is becuase proper pronunciation of the world demands an E between the K and the Y. The Engligh, and I stress English as it's the languauge which all of your dialectual "languages" have stemmed from, way of saying it is KEY. Yes, there is an America word without the E but it should be treated utterly different.
English: Whiskey, plural -keys
America: Whisky, plural -kies
Completly different word.
The history of the "real" whiskey is an abreviation of the word "whiskybae" in 1705/15 - ruffely translated from the Scottish Gaelic word "uisge beatha" meaning "water of life."
Becuase of the use of Water in the Gaelic sence, the word whiskey containsm, and has to contain, the letter E so that the words "whiskey" and "water" share the sameindo-European root - the basis for European language and its construction.
The American term for Whiskey, as "Whisky," makes no logical sence. It is, infact, not actually a word. It is slang, a degeneration of our language.
The word "whiskey," therefore, has to contain the letter E if it is the make grammatical sence.

Anyway.. A 1968 directive of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives specifies "whisky" as the official U.S. spelling, but allows labeling as "whiskey" in deference to tradition; most U.S. producers still use the latter spelling.

No idea about SMCP, but it's part of the NATO alphabet, which would make it spelt "Whisky".

Thats not 100% accurate.
Whiskey the drink is spelled whiskey while whisky is something totally dif. Scotch is only specific types of whiskey. Just as every burboun is a whiskey but not every whiskey is a burboun (or do i have that backwards i dunno its been ages since i was a bar tender =P)
Edit: for example jack daniels is a burboun whiskey but a scotch whiskey would be something like makers mark if i remember right.

You do realise, though that "Malt Whiskey" is not made in Scotland? If it was it'd be "Malt Whisky".
